CASE a Designer! You can choose any of the projects from the designers on the Where Creativity Meets C9 blog to create your own rendition of the project! Now, I admit to being a bit of a neophyte when it comes to the crafty terms that I see in blogland. So, in case you’re wondering (ha, see what I did there? I’m so punny…) CASE stands for “copy and selectively edit.” So basically, pick a card from any of our designers and use it as inspiration for your own project! I chose to CASE this gorgeous card from Lindsey Larsen:

Truth be told, I have a bit of a crafty crush on Lindsey. I struggle a bit with all of that beautifully clean white space, and Lindsey is a master of leaving just enough white space to make the colors truly pop. If you don’t follow her blog or on Instagram, you are truly missing out. I wanted to focus on the lovely subtle pink in the bottom corner, with the bright pop of deep pink sentiment.
I started with a clean white card base and started stamping the pretty blooms from Brushed Blossoms in the corner using Altenew Frosty Pink and Coral Berry inks. I love creating dimensional die cuts for the greetings, so I die cut the “kind” die from the Kind Frame Die Add-On three times from some pretty coral-y red card stock. I adhered them all together and trimmed the edges after adhering them so that I could be certain the edges were all the same. I stamped the greeting from the companion stamp set using Coral Berry ink. After the preliminary card assembly, I decided that the card needed a bit more sparkle, so I pressed my Versamark pad over the die cut and covered it first in clear embossing powder to provide a nice base for the holographic embossing powder. (I find that the glitter kind of flies everywhere if I don’t do this first. Those sparkles need to stay put!)

After I had glued my dimensional die cut down, I added a few sparkly sequins here and there to add a bit more texture to the project (and to mimic Lindsey’s pretty smattering of sequins). And that’s it! I’m kind of in love with how fresh and clean this card is. A bit different than my normal super-involved and super-layered projects! But it’s definitely left me inspired to try to use more white space in my projects. It’s always fun to think outside the box!
