Good morning! It’s the first of the month, which means a new challenge for The Ton’s Challenge blog has started! This month the theme is:
Anything goes! So for my project(s), I chose to work with the Poppy Garden background stamp. I hadn’t had a chance to work with this gorgeous background stamp before, so I heat embossed the entirety of it on some watercolor paper using black Versamark and clear embossing powder and went to town coloring with my Zig markers.
Because I spent quite a bit of time watercoloring the entirety of the background, I wanted to be able to create two projects, so I trimmed off a strip of the background, adhered it to the edge of a card base. I trimmed a large panel of gray card stock down, added a strip of red foil along the edge, and then worked on my greeting. I die cut the “love” from vellum, then heat embossed the coordinating stamp from Bokeh Burst: Love with white embossing powder. I added some sequins (Silver, Call Me Maybe Red) for a touch of sparkle.
For my final card, I used the rest of the watercolored panel to create a windowed background. I cut a strip from the center to create a bit of a window for my gray card base, then added a few more strips of the red foil behind. I popped it up with some dimensional adhesive. The greeting (from Bokeh Burst Round) is die cut from vellum again, heat embossed with silver sparkle embossing powder. I added some more Silver and Call Me Maybe Red sequins sporadically down the front.
Now, it’s your turn! Create a pretty project (as many as you want) using your stamps from The Ton and enter them into the link up for our April Challenge. You could win a $50 gift certificate to The Ton’s shop! You have until April 30 to get your entries in. Have fun, and good luck!!
