Today, we are focusing on:
Wishful Wildflowers
Wildflower Banner
Marvelous Perfumes
Pink Diamond, Pretty Petals, and Hot Cocoa sequins mixes
For my first project today, I wanted to create a lovely, soft, springy card using the gorgeous new Wishful Wildflower stamps. I started by heat embossing all of the blooms included in the set (you get one cluster and two individual blooms that have the foliage attached) onto Canson Montval watercolor paper using white embossing powder. I then colored them in using my Zig markers to create a lavender, white, and pale pink floral spray.
After I had painted all of my blooms, I fussy cut them out (but you can use the oh-so-convenient dies that will be available for purchase on Thursday!) and began working on my card base. I die cut a pretty pink frame using the new small Stitched Rectangle dies, then arranged my blooms on it on my card base. (I used a slightly smaller card base… 4×5.5″ instead of 4.25″ because I wanted the leaves to hang off of the side) After I had my blooms adhered to my frame, I used that as a guide to determine where I wanted my sentiment to be placed. The sentiment comes from a set that you will see more of later this week! I stamped it using Caviar ink, then adhered my floral frame using dimensional adhesive. The final step was to add some Glass Slippers sequins.
For my other card today, I used the new Marvelous Perfumes set in conjunction with a new set that you will see more of later this week! To start, I stamped masks of the two larger perfume bottles onto some masking paper and fussy cut them. After I had stamped the two larger perfume bottles on my watercolor panel using Versamark, I heat embossed them with some silver pearl embossing powder to create a lovely pearlescent charcoal finish. I added the masks, stamped the smaller bottle, and pulled up the masks… that magical effect gets me every time. I watercolored them with my Zig markers, trimmed down the panel so that it was almost square, then added some pretty cobalt blue foil strips behind to add some contrast. I stamped the ornate images that will be debuted later this week using Parisian Blue ink, then added my watercolored panel using dimensional adhesive.
Well, that’s all for me today! Now, for even more fun stuff… the giveaways!
