You can head on over to The Ton’s blog post to see all of the specific details for each set released today. I chose to work with the Modern Labels set and the Pragmatic Wreaths set today. Let’s get to the projects!
For my first card, I couldn’t wait to delve into the lovely, delicate blooms and foliage of the new Pragmatic Wreaths. I wanted something delicate and very springy, so I laid out my palest pastel inks (Ballet Slippers, Soft Amethyst, Lofty Mint, and Blue Diamond) and just had a blast stamping. I used my MISTI to stamp each side of the wreath twice, so that I could create a nice round wreath. I fussy cut the wreath pieces out (you could use the coordinating dies, but I hadn’t received them yet). For my greeting, I thought the banner from Thankful Cornucopia would be perfect billowing across the center of the wreath. I die cut the banner from the coordinating dies, then stamped the banner image and the greeting itself (also from the Pragmatic Wreath stamp set) using Crystal Pewter and Smokey Quartz inks. I die cut a plain white small Stitched Rectangle, glued it to my card base, then added my wreath and banner using dimensional adhesive. The final touch was some plain white twine that I found in my stash. Nice and clean, perfect for springtime.
My final card for today uses the beautiful new Modern Labels set. This set is going to be a staple at my desk, let me tell you!! I started by stamped the lovely large oval label onto some medium white card stock using Caribbean Turquoise ink. I heat embossed that pretty sentiment from the new Sunflower Bouquet stamp set using silver embossing powder, then die cut the label using the coordinating dies. I adore that little floral swag from the gift-with-purchase Peony Cluster set, so I heat embossed it with the same silver embossing powder and die cut it with the coordinating dies. I colored it with a pretty pink Zig marker and a damp paintbrush (I simply couldn’t have a day with NO watercoloring!). To create the background for my pretty pink peonies, I die cut the Geometric Lattice cover plate die using some turquoise card stock, then adhered it to a medium white card base. I added my label and peonies with some dimensional adhesive, then added a smattering of Pink Diamond sequins here and there.
