Good morning! TGIF, for reals. And it’s a 3 day weekend too. Woohooooo! I absolutely had to have the new Avery Elle Floral Bouquet set when it was released earlier this month. Our wedding flowers were the most beautiful blue hydrangeas, and the lovely blooms in this stamp set totally remind me of my wedding bouquet.
To start, I die cut and heat embossed the pretty blooms onto some Arches cold press watercolor paper, as well as onto the corner of a slightly smaller than A2 sized panel of watercolor paper. I then watercolored them with my Daniel Smith watercolors in pretty shades of blue and purple (Ultramarine Blue and Carbazole Violet).
I trimmed down the watercolored panel just slightly, then dovetailed it in the corner of an A2 sized piece of blue card stock, so that the blue was just peeking out of the bottom corner. For the greeting, I used one of the absolutely beautiful Thanks and Giving dies from Honey Bee Stamps. I die cut it from some glitzy silver glitter card stock and adhered it to the watercolored panel. I popped up the die cut flowers with some dimensional adhesive. The final step was to add some Glass Slippers sequins from The Ton.
Well that’s all for me today! So many flower stamps, so little time. 🙂 See you back here soon! Have a wonderful weekend, and Happy Memorial Day!
