Today, we are showcasing:
Fresh Cut Anemones (Layered and Outline)
Anemone Bouquet
Anemone Wishes
Penned Sentiments
For my first project today, I have some framed artwork. The Ton’s florals are so stunning, and they’re quite nicely sized. I have always wanted to create some wall art with these beautiful images. I started by die cutting one of the Double Stitched Squares, then heat embossed the Anemone Bouquet on some Arches watercolor paper using silver embossing powder. I did do some quick masking to be sure that the vase included in the Anemone Bouquet set was nestled prettily beneath the blooms in the bouquet. I used my Daniel Smith watercolors in place of my Zigs because I wanted something more permanent and lightfast… it breaks my heart how quickly the Zig coloring fades. 🙁
I mounted the watercolored panel on some silvery gray card stock using dimensional adhesive, then mounted that on an 8×8 panel of royal purple card stock to mount in my 8×8 “memory” frame, aka shadow box (fairly inexpensive at your local big box store, especially if you have a coupon or a sale ad!). An easy peasy gift! My mom loved it.
For my next project, I combined the beautiful new Fresh Cut Anemone Outlines with the previously released Fresh Cut Garden Roses Outlines. I stamped and Rose Gold heat embossed all of the blooms on some hot-pressed watercolor paper, then colored them with my Zig markers in shades of blush and pale, pale pink. I fussy cut them all out (the coordinating Anemone dies didn’t reach me in time for this post, and I was on a roll fussy cutting so I just kept going with the roses, but you can certainly use the coordinating dies to save time!)
I die cut a panel of white card stock using the Lattice Cover Plate, then mounted it on my white card base for a subtle, textured look. I adhered my blooms in the lower right hand corner using dimensional adhesive, then heat embossed my greeting from a new set that you’ll be seeing later this week onto a flagged strip of vellum. I hid the adhesive on the end beneath my flowers, then placed a dot of adhesive near the other end and hid that beneath some sequins from our new incentive sequins mix: Summer Soiree. The sentiment and the white on white with the pretty flowers makes for a perfect summertime wedding card, don’t you think?
