Good morning! The Where Creativity Meets C9 design team is lucky enough to get to join Concord and 9th this month for their Feature Fridays on the blog!! This week, we are focusing on the ridiculously cute Stuck On You stamp and die set. I’m slowly starting to appreciate “cute” sets with “punny” sentiments… and this one is just too darn adorable.
Cactus automatically implies desert, right? So I just had to pull out my Oxide inks and go to town blending a desert sunset. I started by masking off just the very edges of my white A2 card base with some washi tape, then used Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, and Spiced Marmalade Oxide inks with my blending tools. I peeled back the washi tape and revealed a nice, crisp white frame around the edge of my card base!
Next, I stamped and die cut the cacti, pots, and clever little sign from Stuck On You using Versafine ink onto some Canson Montval watercolor paper, then heat embossed them using clear embossing powder and watercolored with my Zig markers. (It’s been awhile since I used my Zig markers, and I forgot how super easy and quick they are to use!) I trimmed a thin piece of black card stock down just wide enough to cover the entire blended panel, adhered it, and used it as a sort of shelf to ground my cactus pots. I popped my cacti up with dimensional adhesive to add a bit of dimension to the card.
Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you are enjoying the new release from Concord and 9th… so fun! Have a fabulous Friday!
