Good morning! Today marks the start of a new challenge over at the Where Creativity Meets C9 blog…. and this month we are celebrating the end of the year with Anything Goes!!
The Where Creativity Meets C9 team were lucky enough to get to play with the new release for December, and let me tell you… there are some fabulous new sets released today. I chose to work with the new Polka Dot Turnabout stamp set and the amazing Love You So stamps and dies to make a card with a cheeky little sentiment. I love how C9 adds little snippets of sass into their stamp sets so you can go totally traditional or be a little smart alecky if the mood strikes!
I started with the new Polka Dot Turnabout set… I know it is supposed to be turned four times and made into a colorful dotty background, but those random polka dots are a stamp I’ve had a hankering for for quite a while, so I just stamped it once with black ink and I’m in LOVE. (appropriate for the sentiment, right?) I trimmed it down and mounted it on a gold foil panel.
Next, I die cut the “LOVE” from plain black card stock. There are about a bazillion different ways you could use this Love You So die set… one of my favorite things about C9 is how versatile their designs are! I also stamped “your face” from the coordinating stamp set on a thin strip of black card stock and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I mounted them on the bottom corner of the dotty panel, and added a few little die cut hearts (also from the Love You So die set). I covered those with some gold Wink of Stella, then added some Glossy Accents over the top to add some more shine and texture.
The final step was to add some foam tape to the back of my gold foil panel and mount it to my card base!
Now, it’s your turn! Use your goodies from Concord and 9th to create a project, ANY project, and add it to our link up by December 29th. You could be our random winner of a $25 shopping spree to Concord and 9th, generously donated by Greg and Angie from Concord and 9th! Please PLEASE be sure to look at the rules for entering the contest. We’ve had so many entries disqualified because they were not following all of the rules.
Have fun, and good luck!!
That’s a beautiful card with a unique color combo, very pretty ! margessw@icloud.com
