Good morning! I have another project today using some more of the new Hero Arts catalog release goodies that were released in the Hero Arts store last week. I just love how varied and versatile the Hero Arts releases are… something for every style and a stamp set for any occasion!
For today’s project, I used the beautifully detailed Bookcase stamp set in combination with the fantastic In The Study stamp and die set. I started by stamping the Bookcase using white pigment ink onto some Kraft paper. I wanted a subtle background, but still wanted to showcase those glorious details that you can only get with a rubber stamp. I trimmed it down a bit and mounted it on a white A2 card base.
Next, I stamped several of the images from In the Study onto some white Copic friendly card stock using Hero Arts’s Intense Black ink, then colored them with my Copic markers in a neutral, somewhat masculine color scheme. (This card would be great for a graduation card for a guy or girl!) I die cut them all out using the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment from In The Study on a thin strip of white card stock.
After I had finished coloring and die cutting all of the pieces from In The Study, I mounted them in a homey cluster on the front of the Bookcase panel using both dimensional and liquid adhesive.
Et voila! I have to admit, I color flowers so frequently that it was a little fun to step outside of my normal comfort zone and color something new! (Not to say that my flowers are going anywhere any time soon…) What do you think? Should I stick with flowers?
Anyway, just wanted to remind you that you still have a little time to enter your comments in the 2018 Catalog Blog Hop to be eligible to win a $50 shopping spree from Hero Arts! You can find the whole hop list both on my blog post and at the Hero Arts blog. Happy hopping, and good luck!
Awesome card! I love anything book related & these stamps are perfect! Love the Kraft & white background & that wonderful sentiment! You are so right. It would be a perfect grad card!
