Good morning! I have a special post for you today with a giveaway sponsored by a fabulous stamp company, Technique Tuesday! I’ve ogled the beautiful Greenhouse Society series from Technique Tuesday for a long time, so I was thrilled to have the chance to play with them! This gorgeous Camellia stamp is an absolute blast to color…. I used Copics for today, but I have plans to do some watercoloring with this pretty set very soon! Just gorgeous!
To start, I did some simple stamping in the bottom corner of a panel of white, Copic friendly card stock using Hero Arts Intense Black ink with the Greenhouse Society Camellia stamp set. I love that this is just one stamp…. no worries about masking to get the leaves nestled beneath the bloom nicely! I then colored my little garden using Copic markers in lovely shades of Coral and Teal. Such a springy color combo, don’t you think? One of my favorite discoveries about using Copics (I recently rediscovered my love of Copic coloring and am sad thinking about how many of my Copics I sold off last year….) is that you can add lots of shimmer using your Spectrum Noir Shimmer pen without muddling your meticulous coloring like you would if you had used watercolor! Score for sparkly flowers!
Look at that shimmer:
After I had finished coloring and be-sparkling my Camellias, I die cut “Happy Birthday” from the Celebrate die collection using black shimmer card stock. I trimmed 1/4″ from the edge of my Copic colored panel, then adhered it to the corner of the A2 black shimmer paper. I decided to add a few “droplets of dew” here and there on the flowers using my Hero Arts Lacquer Pen. Love the 3D effect it has!

Oh my, what a difficult choice, with so many beautiful sets to choose from. Since tulips are my favorite flower I would have to choose the Bootiful tulips stamp. Tied for second are the pansies and the hibiscus.
Definitely a difficult choice as there are so many beautiful sets – the Lily Wishes and the Strawflower sets speak to me at a first glance – but as I said all of them are beautiful 🙂
Hi Emily… this is Bev from Technique Tuesday. I just wanted to tell you that I love your card!
I have had my eye on the Fringed Dahlia stamp I seen the prettiest card made with it, why I haven’t bought it yet I don’t really know why maybe because my I want list is so big I get so excited that I am like a little kid I grab the first shinny thing I see when I have shopping money. LOL Beautiful Card!
What a beautiful card, Emily! My favorite Greenhouse Society stamp from Technique Tuesday is the newest one Cherry Blossoms. I absolutely love Cherry Blossoms! Thank you so much for the chance to win! Hugs 🙂
Man! Picking a favorite is hard, there are definitely a lot of pretty stamps! I think Morning Glory is leading the pack right now lol. :). And your card is really pretty! Love!
Sorry for another comment, my original comment was as pinkpaperhugs, but my email is different, so I just wanted to put a comment on here as my real name so you could see that I also subscribed. 🙂
So many pretty florals in the Greenhouse Society collection! You’ve showcased the camellia so beautifully! I love the Magnolia Branch, so sweet.
I think all the sets are beautiful but the Camellia is gorgeous, love it!
Sweet succulents is my hands-down favorite!!
Beautiful colouring, Em! I love the Ranunculus stamp set and Ruffled Rose, not sure which one takes the No1 spot, they are both lovely!
Thank you for the chance.. you made me fall in love with florals! It’s so difficult to choose one! The Frangipani and the bootiful tulips are my favorite!
Emily, what a pretty card with wonderful shading! As for which stamp is my favorite, it is very hard to choose. I loooove flowers. I hope I can pick 2 favorites…the fuschia and the frangipani.
