Good morning! Today is the Reverse Confetti Blog Hop for the month of April, which I am delighted to again be a part of as a ‘Fetti Friend! We were prompted to make the theme of our cards for Mom or Dad, and I hadn’t quite given enough love to the beautiful Something Wonderful stamp set, so I thought I would pair it with Kindness Cards again for an encouragement card for my momma.
I started by stamping the main bouquet and some extra foliage from Something Wonderful in some bright, kelly green ink, (yes, even the flowers) onto my A2 card base. I then stamped the bouquet in hot pink on a different piece of card stock and fussy cut the flowers. I popped the flowers up with foam tape to add extra dimension.
This greeting, from Kindness Cards, is exactly how I feel about my mom. She has had a rough life… raising two kids by herself, health and mental health issues, and others I won’t go into detail about… but I think she’s pretty freaking amazing. I stamped and die cut the sentiment from Kindness Cards onto some more white card stock using Versafine and clear embossing powder. I popped them up using foam tape, as well.
The final touch was to add some Carnation Pink Nuvo Drops and some sequins. Such a bright, springy card, perfect for Mother’s Day… or even just to say “You Rock!”
Well, that’s all for this project! I hope you will stop by the rest of the blog hop stops. Here’s the full list:
