Hi again! I’m back to share a project using some of the fabulous new goodies from Ellen Hutson’s new Leading Lady release, which is available for purchase in the Ellen Hutson store right now!!
You saw me use the sweet new Hot Mess Leading Lady in my post here, so today I wanted to use that fantastic superhero Leading Lady from Everyday Hero. Here she is:
So, SO cute, right??? Here’s my take on her:
This set is absolutely perfect for Mother’s Day cards, don’t you think? I started by stamping our Everyday Hero with Copic-friendly Intense Black ink onto Copic-friendly white card stock, then die cutting her with the coordinating Designer Cuts. I colored her with a variety of Copic markers, which I’ll list individually below. I also added just a dot of Crystal Lacquer to her crown to add a bit of dimension.
For the card base, I used the fantastic Sunburst Stencil set from Honeybee Stamps to create the glorious halo emanating from her general awesomeness. (I don’t like to use hyperbole at all. Or sarcasm. HA!) I started by using the top stencil with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink, then went over it again with one of the thicker stencils using Blueprint Sketch Oxide ink, but only towards the center, leaving the ends of the sunburst that pretty purple.
Finally, for the greeting, I used the “Mom” and “Grandma” from the Everyday Hero set stamped on some strips of white card stock, then die cut the “Hero” from blue foil card stock in my stash using Altenew’s Bold Alphabet dies. I popped up all of the die cut elements with some foam adhesive, then added a few jewels from Pretty Pink Posh to finish it off.
Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you’ll go check out the new Essentials By Ellen release. These Leading Ladies are so darn cute!! Thanks for dropping by, and have a marvelous Sunday!
