Good morning! I have a special post today sponsored by Scrapbook.com in celebration of World Cardmaking Day! World Cardmaking Day takes place this coming Saturday, but Scrapbook.com has lots of deals going on to help you celebrate the big day, and I’ll get into the details of those deals at the end of my post! I have been in a very autumnal mood the last few days, not that you’d know it’s technically autumn from the 85* weather we have been having (bah humbug!), but I’ve really been enjoying pairing orange with dark grey, so I thought I’d pull out some of my unused Altenew products and create a “thankful” card.
I began by stamping the beautiful blooms in the Sweet Rose Bouquet stamp set, using shades of orange for the blooms and gray for the foliage. It always adds an element of interest to me to add an unexpected color to leaves. I die cut all of the elements with their coordinating dies and set them aside. I also die cut the beautiful “thanks” from some dark gray card stock, as well as “give” using the Altenew Inline Alpha dies cut from some gold foil card stock.
I blended some orange ink on the corners of my card base, then began arranging the die cuts. I adhered the die cut sentiments to the card front using foam tape to give them lots of dimension, then arranged the florals both above and below the greeting die cuts using both dimensional and liquid adhesive.
I added a few gems to add some sparkle as a final touch.
Now, for all of those spectacular deals on the Scrapbook.com site that I mentioned earlier to celebrate World Cardmaking Day:

I’ve never been a big fan of orange but your flowers on the card are stunning! It makes me want to create a Thanksgiving card myself lol. Thanks for the heads up on the Scrapbook.com deals for World Cardmaking Day Saturday. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
