Good morning! Today, I have the pleasure of taking part in the latest Altenew Build A Flower Release Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from Jaycee Gaspar‘s blog, and your next stop is Maryam Perez‘s blog. This month, we are focusing on a beautiful, unique flower: Hellebore.

There are a few options for receiving a discount on this beautiful new layering stamp set. You can become a Build A Flower subscriber, which will offer you a guaranteed set for each Build A Flower set released each month, and at a specially discounted rate of $29.99! You can also purchase one of the Build A Flower/Ink bundles, which come with inks specially matched to create perfectly layered stamped images.
Hellebores are beautiful and unique flowers, and one of my favorite features is their incredibly distinct, deep colors. I chose to do some outside-of-the-box stamping for today’s projects, pairing deepest purple with black details, as well as lavender with gray. I stamped a bunch of different blooms using these color combinations, and I had enough to create two different cards. Let’s get started with the details!

For my first project, I chose to create a subtly textured background by placing a white Dodec Cover Plate die cut over a white A2 card base. I then stamped some filler flowers from Focus on You and die cut them with their coordinating dies.

I arranged the flowers on the front of the textured card front and adhered everything with some foam adhesive. I added a gray “thanks” and added a few gems to add some sparkle!

For my second project, I used some of the leftover floral die cuts and a vellum die cut vase from Versatile Vases to create a bud vase of pretty flowers! I blended some purple ink on a white card base, then layered the vase and flower die cuts on the blended panel.

I adhered the vase of flowers to the blended card front, then added a sentiment strip stamped with Obsidian ink on a strip of cardstock. A few gems added some sparkle!
Well, that’s all for my projects today! Now, I have some fun giveaway information for you.
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog for a chance to win.
We’ll also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 9/7/2019.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Your next stop is Maryam Perez‘s blog. Happy hopping!

Beautiful cards. I love the colors you used
Beautiful cards love the purple flowers
Both of your cards are beautiful! My favorite is the second one. I think the soft blending in the background complemented the vellum; balanced out nicely. The deep purple is very eye-catching and still showed the stamp details.
Oh, the depth of the purple is glorious! My favourite is the second card with the flower in the vase. I love CAS style. I have a Shooting Star Hellebore, also known as a Christmas Rose in my garden, & the delicate pale flowers against the dark leaves are so pretty.
