Hi there! I’m super excited to be helping debut today’s Simon Says Stamp Stamptember collaboration. The folks at Simon Says Stamp have teamed up with the ladies of Pinkfresh Studio and created an absolutely gorgeous floral stamp and die set, which I’ve used to do some no-line watercoloring. Let’s get started with the details!

I began by stamping the beautiful floral stamp (which covers almost the entire front of an A2 card) on some watercolor paper using Ink On 3’s Fadeout Ink. I then used my Daniel Smith watercolors in shades of cool Carbazole Violet, Quinacridone Magenta, and Indanthrone Blue.

While my watercoloring was drying, I used the Pretty Frames die from Pinkfresh Studio with some pretty lilac colored cardstock to die cut a simple embossed frame for the edge of my floral panel.

I also white embossed a sentiment from the new Pinkfresh Studio Stamptember stamp set on a rectangle of the same lilac cardstock that I used for the frame, which I adhered to the center of the card using foam adhesive. The final touch was to add some Essentials Jewels for a bit of sparkle!
Well, that’s all for my project today. I hope you’ve enjoyed this project from Stamptember and Pinkfresh Studio! Stamptember is so much fun! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a marvelous day.

WOW this is a gorgeous creation! Lovely stamp set!
Gorgeous!
Emily, I just had to come into your blog (for the first time–I look forward to looking at the rest of your blog when I can) and see how you colored this beautiful image and what you used. I was particularly taken with the violet flower in the top corner and the bottom corner and how you had shaded and colored it, because your shading totally brought that flower that I wasn’t too keen on in the stamped image to life. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have several of the Daniel Smith pages with dots on them, and I really don’t color well but have a great hankering to do so, and to me, you just brought this stamp set for me to life, and I needed to come in and thank you. Emily, YOU are an ARTIST, and how you create is just meaningful and so very beautiful. All I saw at first was your painted image, I noticed a lilac layer underneath which really made your flowers pop, but you allowed the star of the show to BE the star of the show.
I apologize for this long comment, but I am totally mesmerized by your coloring and how you bring an image to life. I wish that you did coloring videos or at least some details for people like me who do not color well at all. But I get it, likely you are on to your next masterpiece and that is OK. Thank you for truly touching my heart with your shading and coloring and making my day especially with that corner flower that didn’t do anything for me until YOU painted it, and only you from what I have seen so far. YOU are a COLORING ROCK STAR, Emily!!!
I so look forward to seeing what is in your blog and what you create again, Simon Says Stamp should have you as a regular member of their Design Team if you are not, and I hope if you want to be on more DT’s–I see already that you are on a few and well done to them for snagging you–I hope that you are given that opportunity because your work is beyond artistic and just plain wonderful, your colors and your coloring truly touches my heart!!!
Blessings and best wishes,
Joanne Lowe
