Hi there! Today, I have the pleasure of being a stop on the blog hop helping to introduce Pinkfresh Studio’s newest release! You should have arrived here from Channin Pelletier’s blog, and your next stop is Heather Hoffman’s blog! Pinkfresh Studio has released a bunch of fantastic new stamps and dies perfect for your holiday creations. I’ve created two cards, each with a very different, but still holiday-ish feel to them. Let’s get started with the details!

For my first project, I used the beautiful frame, accent images, and greeting from the fantastic Sparkle With Magic stamp set! This set features a fabulous frame that looks lovely just by itself, but when paired with the accent images included in the set, you can create some beautifully unique cards! I began by silver heat embossing the frame and a few of the included accents onto a panel of white cardstock, then used some whimsical colored inks (from Pinkfresh Studio’s upcoming dye ink release! Eeep!) and blending brushes to blend a cheerful, wintry background.

Once I had completed the ink blending, I used the Essentials: Fancy Labels dies to die cut a window from the center of the blended panel. I backed it with acetate, then used my MISTI to place the sentiment from Sparkle With Magic and stamp with the same three shades of ink used to blend the background! (I love that inked ombre effect!) I filled the shaker with some confetti and Essentials Crystals in coordinating shades, then added some iridescent white gems from the Essentials Jewels mix as a sparkling accent on the front of the shaker.

For my second project, I used a more traditional red-green-and-white color combination. I began by silver embossing the lovely wreath and bow images from Season’s Greetings on some watercolor paper. I then used Emerald City and Candy Apple Liquid Watercolors to add some traditional red and green to the wreath, going back and adding some shadows to the bow using Lavender Liquid Watercolor. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies and turned my attention to the card base and greeting!

For the card base, I die cut the Essentials Pretty Frames cover plate die from some bright red cardstock, then adhered the outer frames (excluding the penultimate dotted frame) on the white card base using liquid adhesive. I also die cut the “Season’s Greetings” in that lovely script font from some vellum and some glittery red cardstock using the new Classic Holiday Words dies. I love using vellum as the outline background for word dies; it helps to add more dimension to the card front without adding any extra bulk or additional color! The final touch was a few green gems from the Essentials Jewels pack for a touch of sparkle.
