HI there! I’m so excited to be hopping along today with Altenew’s October 2019 Stencil and Washi Tape blog hop! You should have arrived here from Jen Schow‘s blog, and your next stop is Caly Person‘s blog. (You can always start back at the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog, as well!) We have some fabulous new products for you, including some beautiful new die cut washi tapes, gorgeous new stencils, and a few other goodies, so let’s get started with my projects! Be sure to read all the way to the end to get the giveaway details!

For my first project, I used the gorgeous new Bouquet Die Cut tape to create a pretty background for some watercolored florals. I did a bit of ink blending on some dark teal cardstock using Galactic Stream ink, then added my washi tape, offset to one side. I watercolored some florals from Pen Sketched Flowers, die cutting them with their coordinating dies.

I adhered the flowers to the card front using foam adhesive, then added a sentiment die cut that I’d backed with a rectangle of vellum to help soften the busy background. A few jewels finished it off!

For my second project, I used the gorgeous new Rose Bouquet Stencil. Using small blending brushes to keep the colors where I wanted them, I used Midnight Violet ink, adding some foliage with Aqualicious and Galactic Stream inks. I also spritzed some Iridescent Shimmer Spray while the stencil was still in place to add lots of shimmer and shine!

I adhered a large, royal purple “friend” die cut using some foam tape for lots of dimension, adding a coordinating sentiment from the Mega Friends 3 stamp and die set. A few more purple jewels finished it off and added a touch of sparkle!
Well, that’s all for my projects today. Now, for some fun giveaway information!
