Hi there! I have a few more projects to share with you using some of the newest goodies from the November Essentials By Ellen release! This release is just so darn pretty, and in addition to pretty flowers and butterflies, we also have some fantastic and versatile basics that are sure to be staples in your craft room! It’s also Ellen Hutson’s Lucky 13th Anniversary, and we’re celebrating with the sale! (I’ll get to all of those details at the end of the post. 😉 ) Let’s get started with the details!

For today’s projects, I created a matching card and gift box using the new In the Weeds stamps, keeping things simple by using just one color of ink and allowing the detail in the stamp set to do the work for me!

For the treat box, I first die cut two sections of the new Treat Box die from white cardstock. I then masked the bottom of the new Treat Box die stamped the image from In the Weeds using Hydrangea ink. I colored a length of white silk ribbon a matching shade of purple using a Copic marker, then used it to close the treat box. I also die cut a tiny tag from the new Mini Tags die set, then stamped it with the Good Luck sentiment from the new Small Sayings stamp set, adding it to the loop of the bow as a little tag for the treat box. Simple, cute, but oh, so pretty!

I used the same color scheme to create the matching card. I stamped the beautiful image from In the Weeds using Hydrangea ink on an A2 panel of cardstock, adding a few more stamped images on the edge, overlapping them a touch to create a continuous line of flowers. I also added a touch of pale yellow to the centers of the flowers using a pale yellow Copic marker.

I stamped a greeting using the fantastic new That Thing You Did stamp set. (Don’t you just love the sassy, fabulous sentiments in this one?) I stamped it on a strip of white cardstock using dark gray ink. I trimmed a slightly larger rectangle of white cardstock, then using the same Copic marker used for the ribbon for the treat box, colored a custom panel of cardstock and mounted it behind the sentiment strip. I mounted that on another slightly larger panel of charcoal cardstock, and then mounted the whole thing on the floral panel with foam adhesive. The final touch was to add some pretty Pearl White gems for a bit of sparkle.
