Hi there! Today, I have the pleasure of sharing some projects using the brand new Gina K. Designs January 2020 release! I have created three projects using the new Be The Rainbow stamp set, as well as elements from the latest Card Kit! Let’s get started with the details.

For my first project, I wanted to do something totally different (for me) using the new Be The Rainbow set. This set has utterly gorgeous and meaningful sentiments, and I wanted to highlight those with a gatefold card and some vellum. I began by die cutting a circle from some black cardstock, then heat embossed a greeting from Be The Rainbow using white embossing powder. I also stamped some clouds using Gina K’s Whisper Amalgam ink and fussy cut them.

I then chose a rainbow of Copic markers, then creating an A2 background with them, blending them together to create a smooth blend, and finally stamping the greeting “you are going to be okay” using some crisp black ink. I attached the rainbow panel to a vellum gatefold card, then created a belly band using a strip of glittery white cardstock, the black sentiment circle die cut, and the clouds. Totally different than my normal style, but I love how the vellum softens the Copic rainbow on the inside of the card, making the beautiful sentiment the star of the project!!

For my second project, I used a few different elements from the January 2020 card kit! (Definitely go check out the kit… there are SO many different elements and styles represented in this one. It’s massive!) I began by stenciling a pretty background on lavender cardstock using some purple inks and the fabulous Heartfelt Stencil included in the kit. I also blended around the edge using both a light purple and dark purple ink with blending brushes to create a soft halo.

For the greeting, I die cut “hugs” from some black cardstock and mounted it on a vellum die cut heart. I also heat embossed the “Happy Valentine’s Day” from Friendship Hearts (included in the Card Kit) sentiment on a strip of black cardstock. I stamped the little envelope using black ink on some white cardstock, then added the purple heart to the center and fussy cut it. I arranged all of the die cuts, hiding the foam adhesive behind the solid elements. The final step was to add some purple gems!

For my last card, I used another gorgeous sentiment from the Be The Rainbow stamp set and paired it with the A Big Hello stamp set from the January 2020 Card Kit. I started by white embossing the sentiment from Be The Rainbow on a panel of slightly-smaller-than-A2 vellum, then added a some of the beautiful flowers from A Big Hello using sparkling embossing powder to create some pretty corners.

I mounted the vellum panel on an A2 panel of plummy purple cardstock, hiding the tiny dots of adhesive behind the thicker spots of embossed florals. The final step was to add some gems for even more sparkle!
Well, that’s all for my projects today! I am so grateful for having gotten to play with the new release from Gina K, and I hope you enjoyed my projects. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!

These are so fabulous, Emily, especially the gorgeous rainbow on the first one. Remarkable how the vellum softened the blended colors!
Gorgeous creations!
