Altenew Standalone Die Blog Hop+Giveaway!

Hi there! Today, Altenew is releasing some fabulous new standalone dies and stencils today, and we’re celebrating with a blog hop full of inspiration! You should have arrived here from Terri Koszler and your next stop is Agnieszka Malyszek. You can also see the full hop list on the Altenew Card Blog! I have a pretty floral project today using the new Open Blooms Die Set and Fine Frames Die Set. Let’s get started with the details!

I began by die cutting the various components of the Open Blooms Die Set from plain white cardstock, then used the Cherry Blossom dye ink set and blending brushes to add color to the individual pieces, layering them with liquid adhesive. I love that Altenew has so many wonderful ink groupings; you can make your own custom coordinating colored cardstock with very little effort!

Next, I die cut a diamond from some charcoal foil cardstock using the new Fine Frames Die Set. I adhered the flowers to the diamond and added it to a white card front using foam adhesive. I white heat embossed a greeting from Versatile Vases on a strip of lavender cardstock and added it over the foil diamond.

Finally, I added some metallic charcoal gems and a few fine black dots using a black pen for a bit of extra embellishment!

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by 3/3/2020 for a chance to win.

We’ll also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 3/6/2020.

Your next stop is Agnieszka Malyszek.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Happy hopping!

I really like the way that you contrasted Altenew’s Open Bloom in lavender with their Fine Frames Diamond shape in black. The gems, splashes of paint and sentiment added just the right touches to your lovely card.

Beautiful card! It could almost be used as a corsage! I’ve found that Altenew Inks make it ease to create my own cardstock, too. I really like the use of the charcoal coloring to counterbalance the beautiful floral colors of the focal point. And, gee, using a pen to make splatter-like dots! Thanks SO MUCH for sharing!
