Hi there! Today, Altenew is releasing another installment of their Craft A Flower die sets: Craft-A-Flower Daisy! These buildable flower dies are so much fun to play with; I love that they have a new flower each month! You could create an entire garden of die cut flowers. You can subscribe to make sure that you don’t miss out (and also receive a discount!) or you can simply purchase them individually. Today, we’re celebrating with a blog hop and giveaway! You should have arrived here from Nicole Watt and your next stop is Laurie Willison. I’ve chosen to create some black-eyed-Susan flowers today, pairing the Craft A Flower Daisy die cuts with shades of gray for one of my favorite color schemes. Let’s get started with the details!

To start, I die cut all of the different elements from Craft A Flower Daisy several times, using two different shades of yellow cardstock for the flowers themselves, three shades of green for the foliage (love that there are two different foliage options!), and gray and black for the Black Eyed Susan centers. I adhered them all together using a new-to-me product: Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. This glue was great for these intricate die cuts, because it has a super fine tip on the end! I adhered the flower centers using foam adhesive for extra pop of dimension.

Next, I cut an A2 panel of light gray cardstock, then using a blending brush, blended some dark gray ink around the edges to create some contrast on the card base itself. I arranged the flowers and foliage from Craft A Flower Daisy in a cascade going down one side of the blended card base, adhering them with both liquid and foam adhesive for lots of dimension.

To create the greeting, I heat embossed the “thank you” from Sentiment Strips 2 onto a strip of dark gray cardstock using white embossing powder. I tucked it amongst the flowers and adhered it using foam adhesive. The final step was to add some subtle black dots on the card base to fill in some of the holes in the flower arrangement.
Well, that’s all for my project today! I hope you’ll check out the new Craft A Flower Daisy (and the other flowers included in this new die series from Altenew). So much fun and such an easy way to create a big impact on a card front!
Now, to celebrate this new release, Altenew is giving away $30 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog for a chance to win. We’ll also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win!
