Hi there! Today, Altenew is releasing their latest in the Craft-A-Flower series, with this month’s focus on the Poppy! (Click here to subscribe to these monthly die releases at a discount!) We are celebrating with a blog hop and giveaway. You should have arrived here from Svitlana Shayevich and your next stop is Norine Borys. The large scale of these super detailed dies make them perfect for creating a large focal point on a regular A2 card as well as creating a whole field of flowers on the slimline’s larger canvas. I have one of each to share with you today, so let’s get started with the details!

I began by die cutting these large, super detailed floral dies several times from families of both yellow and coral cardstocks. I cut a bunch at once, then spent a bit of time assembling everything so that in the end, I had a bunch of flowers and foliage ready to make my cards!

For my first card, I thought I’d make a large field of poppies using the Craft A Flower Poppy die cuts. I started with a white, slimline card base, then blended some mustard and pumpkin colored inks along the corner. I then arranged the flowers to create a pretty field of poppies blowing in the wind, adhering everything with a mixture of liquid and foam adhesive for lots of dimension and texture.

I added a greeting on some strips of white cardstock from the Thank You Builder stamp set stamped in mustard ink, which I adhered using foam adhesive. Then I added a few yellow iridescent gems to finish everything off and round out my arrangement!

I had a bunch of leftover die cuts, so I thought I’d whip them up into a quick card, as well. I love the pops of color on a bright white background, so I die cut a Create A Wreath circle frame and adhered it to a plain A2 card base, then added the Craft A Flower Poppy die cuts, also adding a few coral sprigs from the Create A Wreath set to round out the floral swag.

I adhered the die cuts on the white framed card front using foam adhesive and added a sentiment from Kind Words, which I stamped in Obsidian Black ink. I finally finished everything off with some gems!
Well, that’s all for my projects today. Now for some fun giveaway information!
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog by 11/12/2020 for a chance to win.
