Hi there! Today, Honey Bee Stamps is releasing their first collection for 2021- Love Letters, which is now available for purchase! (Click here to see the whole collection!) This collection features a great assortment of products and styles perfect for your Valentine’s Day crafting. I collaborated on a new illustration included in this release, as well! I have several projects to show you today, so let’s get started with the details.

This first pair of cards features the brand new Quilted Cover Plate die and Quilted Hearts and Dots stencil. I thought this sweet background would be perfect for a pair of baby cards! It reminds me of a baby blanket. I die cut the Quilted cover plate from white cardstock, then used the Quilted Hearts and Dots to add pink and blue hearts.

I used the Baby Buzzword Honey Cuts and coordinating stamps to create the greetings, which I mounted on some vellum hearts that I die cut using the Scallop Heart dies.

I mounted the greeting on the vellum hearts using liquid adhesive, then hid foam adhesive behind the sentiment die cuts and popped them up on the card front. Some iridescent gems added some sparkle!

My second project uses the new Loads of Love stamps and coordinating dies with the Pickup Lines stamps and dies and the previously-released Big Pickup Tailgate stamps and dies. I colored the images using Copic markers, adding a tone-on-tone “LOVE” using the Tailgate Alphabet dies (colored using the same Copic markers to make it look like it was part of the truck).

On the 5×7 white card base, I used the Fluttering Hearts stencil to add some lightly blended hearts in just the top corner (making a 6×6 stencil work even on a 7 inch wide card base!) using blending brushes. I also added a white frame using the A7 Thin Frames dies. I popped up all of the die cuts using foam adhesive and added some gems for sparkle.

For this next card, I used the super cute new SWAK stamp set with the Smooch Buzzword and stamps. I began by doing some ink blending on a panel of coral cardstock with a darker shade of coral, then allowed it plenty of time to dry completely (like, plenty of time as in overnight). I then covered the panel using my anti-static tool and stamped lots of kissy lips from SWAK using Versamark ink and covered them liberally with Biscotti Perfect Pearls. The Biscotti is such a pretty shade of creamy, pale gold… something fun and different for a background like this!

After I used my microfiber cloth to get rid of any excess Perfect Pearls and anti-static powder, I used the Smooch Buzzword and stamps to die cut and heat emboss the greeting. I added another frame using the A2 Thin Frames dies and popped up the greeting pieces using foam adhesive.

My final project features my latest collaborative illustration: Love You Bunches and coordinating dies. This set features a pretty rose bouquet that coordinates with the new Floral Bouquet Wrap die. I stamped and colored the pretty bouquet using my Copic markers, then used the coordinating dies to cut out the bouquet and the sentiment.

I die cut the Floral Bouquet Wrap from some iridescent vellum and wrapped it around my colorful bouquet. To create a bit of texture in the background, I die cut the Burlap cover plate from some white cardstock and adhered it to a plain white A2 card front. I love doing this to create super subtle texture on card fronts. I mounted the bouquet and added a few gems for some sparkle!
Well, that’s all for me today. I highly encourage you to check out the full release; there are some darling new products perfect for your Valentine’s Day crafting (or any time of year, for that matter). Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
Your cards are fantastic. I love that pick up truck.

Fantastic inspiration on all of your cards from this release. Love the lips on the red card, very eye catching. The baby quilt design is fabulous & comes in time for making baby announcement cards as I’ve just found out I’m going to be a grandma again. Love this release thank you x
