Altenew Craft A Flower: Antique Rose Release Blog Hop+Giveaway!

Hi there! Today, Altenew is celebrating the release of their latest Craft A Flower series with a blog hop. You should have arrived here from Keren Baker, and your next stop is Michelle Short. (You can also start at the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog.) These Antique Rose blooms are some of my favorites from the Craft A Flower series. The amount of detail is incredible!

Each month, Altenew releases a new flower in their Craft A Flower series, and you can subscribe to make sure that you don’t miss out on any of them! This month, we’re focusing on Antique Rose. Such a beautiful finished product with these dies. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

I began by die cutting and assembling all of the elements for the new Craft A Flower: Antique Rose to create a pair of golden yellow roses and some minty green leaves using gradient cardstocks that I found in my (embarrassingly large) stash of colored cardstock. There are four layers to the roses, so you can achieve huge amounts of detail and depth with these layering dies!

On the card base, I trimmed a white “mini slimline” card base (3.5″x6″), then blended some Honey Drizzle and Orange Cream inks using blending tools and sprinkled a few water droplets to add some extra texture. I quite like the slightly elongated look of the mini slimline size with these substantial die cuts. They take up just enough room on the card front without looking too crowded!

I arranged the flower and foliage die cuts on the blended card front, then adhered them with both liquid and foam adhesive. I stamped a greeting from Thank You Builder using Obsidian ink, then added a few iridescent clear gems for some sparkle. They remind me of water droplets sparkling in the sunshine!

Well, that’s all for my project today. Now for some fun giveaway information!

$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 03/12/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 03/15/2021.

Your next stop is Michelle Short. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy hopping!
