Hi friends! I have something exciting to share here on my blog. I began this crafty journey many moons ago… like almost 12 years ago… and like any journey, my interests (obsessions?) have evolved over time, from stamping to Copic coloring to watercoloring, and now, to drawing. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been lucky enough to illustrate stamps for Honey Bee Stamps and Pinkfresh Studio, and a few months ago, I decided to release sort of a “Deconstructed Coloring Book”- panels that I have illustrated and have made available in sets of four, on either watercolor paper or Neenah cardstock for Copic coloring! I had released them on Instagram, but I wanted to share with my blog readers, as well.
My first set, released late last year, features four different designs:

I tried to create a group of unique floral panels, all A2 sized for making a card front. The panels are printed on either 80lb Neenah cardstock or 88lb cold press watercolor cardstock.

My second set was released last month, called Framed Florals:

Today, I’m ridiculously excited and honored that the incredible Kathy Racoosin, artist extraordinaire and creator of The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge, has colored one of my panels and shared it on her blog!! Kathy’s ability to combine coloring mediums to achieve amazing depth is truly breathtaking. I’m still pinching myself to see her coloring on one of my images.
Previously, I had opened up my deconstructed coloring books up for limited preorder, and in honor of the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge, I’m opening the pre-orders back up again! Here are the details:
- Pricing: Neenah-$8; Watercolor paper-$10, shipped in the continental US. International friends: add $4 to accommodate international postage. Sorry, no tracking available on these.
- You will receive 4 panels in each set. If you wish to purchase more than one set, please indicate whether you would like Deconstructed Coloring Book #1 or Framed Florals, as well as whether you would like Neenah or watercolor paper, and whether you are located within the US or internationally. I will then send you an invoice via PayPal, to please be paid within 24 hours of receipt.
- I will leave the preorders open until April 25, 2021. It’s just me printing, trimming, and shipping, so please allow 2 weeks for processing and shipping. I have four little kids here, so please be patient with me! 🙂
To order: email me at eamidgettsketches (at) gmail.com, and be sure to include all of the information requested above!
I am so excited to bring these to you, should you be interested, and I’m so grateful for Kathy’s support! If you haven’t played along with the Daily Marker 30 Day coloring challenge over on Instagram, I highly encourage you to do so. It’s such a wonderful way to relax and give yourself the opportunity to just play around with different images, mediums, styles… just enjoy the process!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
Hi Emily,
I love your floral and the way you illustrate as well as colors you choose for them. Would you mind sharing the Copic colors for the 5th image down in this blog post? I have difficulty matching blending combinations for purple/lavendar, violets, and reds. You have captured the vibrancy of those blending series perfectly.
Thank you!
These are beautiful! Can I still preorder?!!!
How can I buy these panels? And how much they are ?
