Altenew Craft A Flower: Peruvian Lily Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hi there! Today, Altenew is releasing the new Craft A Flower: Peruvian Lily layering die set! You should have arrived from Michelle Short and your next stop is Mindy Eggen. (You can also start back at the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog.) This month’s Craft A Flower: Peruvian Lily is so incredibly detailed… the design is truly amazing!

I love that Altenew releases a new flower each month in the Craft A Flower series; you can always subscribe if these layering die sets are your favorites, as well! I first was introduced to these flowers when one of my high school girlfriends had them in her corsage for prom, and I used those pretty purple lilies as my inspiration for my card today!

I began by die cutting each layer from white cardstock. I then used the inks in the Enchanted Garden quartet and mini blender tools to add one color to each cardstock layer. I adhered them all together, adding black stamens for added dramatic flair. I did the same with the foliage, adding shades of green ink to each layer of the cardstock die cuts.

Next, I die cut just a small portion of the Garden Trellis die from some black cardstock. I wanted only a portion so that I could ground the floral cluster, but didn’t want to detract from the large detailed blooms. I adhered the trellis to a white A2 card base, then added the flowers and some foliage from the Just Leaves die set.

For the greeting, I die cut a black “thanks” from the Circled Greetings: Thanks die set, trimming off the exterior circle and leaving just the greeting, which I adhered with some Instant Dimension Foam Tape. The final touch was a few black gems to help tie together all of the black accents!

Well, that’s all for this project. Altenew is hosting some fabulous giveaways, and here are the details:

$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 6/13/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 06/15/2021.

Your next stop is Mindy Eggen. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy hopping!

Beautiful shading adding and achieving the “dramatic flare” you shared. Vibrant and nice to see accomplished with white card stock without having a stash of colored card stock.
