Altenew Summer Adventure Stand-alone Dies Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there! Altenew is releasing a group of standalone dies in their Summer Adventure release, and we’re celebrating with a blog hop! You should have arrived here from Verity Biddlecombe, and your next stop is Bridget Casey, or you can start back at the beginning at the Altenew Blog! I have a project with lots of vivid color for you today, so let’s get started with the details!

I started today’s project by stamping the beautiful bouquet from the Altenew/Pinkfresh Studio collaboration set Celebrate Today and heat embossing it using silver embossing powder onto some watercolor paper. I then watercolored it in pretty shades of mauve and plum using the Altenew Artists’ Watercolors 24 Pan set. I die cut it with the coordinating die.

Next, I die cut the new Moroccan Lattice Cover Plate die from some medium gray cardstock. I love the unique shape of this quatrefoil background; its’ oblong shape is so interesting and unique! Before mounting it on some mauve cardstock, I used Midnight Violet ink and a blending brush to blend some deeper mauve around the edges. It’s amazing to me how you can achieve such different looks when you blend ink on cardstock that is already a vivid color! The Midnight Violet is a beautiful shade of purple, but on the mauve cardstock it takes on an entirely different look.

After I’d finished creating the card base, I die cut the “miss you” sentiment from the new All About You sentiment die set. I die cut the background layer from some silver glitter cardstock, then added the dark charcoal detail layer over the top. I popped up the floral bouquet die cut and the sentiment die cuts with some foam adhesive, then added a few pearls to add some shine.

Well, that’s all for my project today! Altenew has some fun giveaways to celebrate this new release:

$300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $25 gift certificate to 8 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 06/23/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 10 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 06/25/2021.

Your next stop is Bridget Casey. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy hopping!

Isn’t that pink gorgeous? Seeing the “Miss You” card has me reconsidering my standard use of muted colors for card backgrounds.
