Hi there! Today, I have a couple of holiday cards to share with you using some new goodies from Spellbinders! I kept the color scheme pretty traditional. For some reason, I don’t seem to use red much throughout the year, but I can’t seem to help myself for Christmas projects! I have an A2 project and a slimline today, so let’s get started with the details!

It doesn’t get more traditional than red, white, and green, but I thought I’d make it a bit more modern by adding in some light gray.

For my first project, I used the darling Holiday Gnomes set to create this frosty, punny card. I started by stamping the gnome duo on some white cardstock using Copic-friendly black ink. I used my Copic markers to color the images, keeping the color scheme relatively simple. I think it would be so cute to make the taller gnome’s hat colored like a patchwork quilt! I fussy cut the images using my sharp scissors and set them aside.

For the card base, I trimmed down an A2 panel of light gray cardstock, then used a foam blender to add white pigment ink around the edge of the card front to add a frosty feel. I heat embossed a few of the snowflakes in the Holiday Gnomes using white embossing powder, then splattered some white gouache for a bit of extra texture and more snowflakes. I adhered the colored gnomes and some sentiment strips using foam adhesive, then added a few white gems for even more texture in the background.

My second card features some white-on-white texture using the Circle Kaleidescope Dies. These slimline dies have so much beautiful detail that a few quick passes with your Platinum 6 and some sparkly cardstock are all you need to create an elegant holiday card! I trimmed down a slimline base, then die cut the super detailed base layer from another piece of white cardstock.

I die cut the three detailed circles from some super sparkly glitter cardstock in shades of emerald, ruby, and glistening white. I adhered the detailed base layer on the card base using foam adhesive to allow that great detail to stand out. I silver embossed a greeting from Holiday Gnomes on a strip of white cardstock and adhered it to the card front using some more foam adhesive. A simple color palette, but those sparkling medallions make the card so festive!
Well, that’s all for my projects today. I always love these last few months of the year when we are prepping holiday cards. I could buy my weight’s worth of holiday stamps and still want more! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a marvelous day!

I love your sweet little gnomes.
