Altenew Build-A-Flower: Honeysuckle Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in total prizes)

Hi there! Today, Altenew is hosting a blog hop to celebrate their new Build-A-Flower: Honeysuckle release! You should have arrived from Norine Borys, and your next stop is LauraJane. You can also start back at the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog in case you get lost! Honeysuckle plants usually have small, dainty blooms, but I love the size of these beautiful honeysuckle blooms and foliage in the Build-A-Flower: Honeysuckle stamp and dies:

This month’s set features a large, beautiful honeysuckle flower, along with several different options for foliage-both layered and solid! I love that Altenew gives you the option to use the layered stamps or take some time to do some coloringYou can always subscribe to the Build A Flower series to receive the sets each month at a discounted rate! I have a bright white project with a pop of color from the flower, so let’s get started with the details!

I began by stamping the honeysuckle flower, bud, and foliage from Build-A-Flower: Honeysuckle using a variety of inks. I sometimes struggle with layering stamps, so I gave myself a guide by stamping the included outline stamp with the mid-shade of the Golden Sunset ink set. I stamped the foliage using inks from the Green Valley ink quartet.

I like to layer white die cuts on a white background to maintain the flow of the white-on-white, so that means that I try to add extra texture to add some interest to the background. I embossed the Garden Harmony 3D Embossing Folder on some plain white cardstock, then die cut the Circled Greeting: Thanks die from an A2 panel of white cardstock, then layered it over the top of the embossed panel using some Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

I arranged the flowers and foliage in a swag, then added it to the card front with even more foam tape for a double layer in some spots! I added a greeting stamped from the Build-A-Flower: Honeysuckle and a few iridescent gems for some sparkle.

Well, that’s all for my project today! Now for some fun giveaway information:

$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 11/07/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 11/09/2021.

Your next stop on the hop is LauraJane. Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy hopping!
