Hi friends! Today, Altenew is celebrating the release of their September 2023 collection with a blog hop! You can find all of the hop stops at the Altenew Card Blog. This new collection also includes more additions to the Fresh Dye Ink line with the inclusion of the Spectrum Splash Dye Ink Collection! I didn’t receive these inks in time to create something for the hop, but you can be sure that they will be an important part of my future crafting. I love how juicy and delicious the Fresh Dye Ink line is! I have a super bright and vibrant project to share with you today using the beautiful new Bold Bouquet products, so let’s get started with the details!
The incredible Bold Bouquet product suite features a large stamp set with coordinating dies, stencils, and 3D embossing folder. I adore these 3D embossing folders; I think they create such an incredibly unique look and feel with the gorgeous texture that you can create with just one product! The amount of detail on these embossed panels always amazes me. I chose to enhance those details from the Bold Bouquet Embossing Folder with the coordinating layering stencils.
I used blending brushes to blend Tickled Pink, Magenta, and Midnight Violet inks for the large embossed lily flower, then used Peachy Keen and Tangerine Dream inks for the smaller roses. I blended Forest Glades and Evergreen inks from the Green Fields Fresh Dye Ink quartet over the foliage, then after completing the stenciling, I swiped the Enchanted Gold pigment inkpad over the raised embossed images, which adds some lovely gold gilding to the raised areas! I wanted the entire card front to be super vibrant and vivid, so I blended the Magenta and Midnight Violet inks around the edge of the card front, adding even more drama by lightly blending Jet Black ink around the edges, as well. To coordinate with the gold gilded edges of the embossed image, I splattered some gold Metallic Watercolor on the flat portion of the card, as well as enhancing the stamens of the lily with a metallic gold gel pen and adding some little black dots to the center of the lily.
For the greeting, I heat embossed some of the sentiment stamps included in the Bold Bouquet stamp set using gold embossing powder on black cardstock in order to coordinate with the black accents on the card. I die cut the large “happy” using the coordinating die from the Bold Bouquet suite. Before adhering the sentiment components to my card, I die cut a matte gold foil Fine Frames Diamond die cut and adhered it to the card to accent my sentiment. I popped up the sentiment pieces using foam adhesive to add extra height, then added a few black gems for one last black accent!
Well, that’s all for this project. Lots of different individual elements and special little accents, but this card really didn’t take that long to create! The stencils do so much of the work for you that they make crafting a breeze.
