Hi friends! The STAMPtember surprises continue with some new additions to the Rainbow Splash line, exclusive to Simon Says Stamp! The Rainbow Splash line, released during STAMPtember for 2023, has been specially curated for beginning crafters and experienced crafters alike. It features products that are super user-friendly and uncomplicated, great for new and/or young crafters. I am super excited that Simon has added to the line with today’s Rainbow Splash STAMPtember release, including some beautiful new embossing folders, stamps, and some coordinating dies that work with the previously-released Happy Blooms stamp set. I’ve created a super simple-but-still-lovely card using some new and old Rainbow Splash goodies, so let’s get started with the details!

To start, I ran a panel of white cardstock through my die cutting machine using the new Heart Blooms folder. The lovely, delicate pattern on this embossing folder stands out so beautifully on the crisp white cardstock, but it would be so much fun in all of the cardstock colors in the Rainbow Splash line!
Next, I used the older Happy Blooms stamps with the new Happy Blooms dies. When doing multi-step stamping, like for the flowers, I like to die cut first and then use my MISTI for perfect placement of the images. If you stamp first and then die cut, things sometimes don’t line up quite perfectly, but by die cutting first, you have perfect placement! I stamped the flowers and butterflies using Rainbow Splash Ink in shades of Lime, Sea, and Princess, selecting super bright colors that would pop beautifully on the crisp white embossed background! The white edges on the die cut flowers are also minimized by selecting white cardstock for the background, creating a more seamless transition between the elements.
After I had die cut and stamped all of the images, I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Blooms stamp set with Rainbow Splash Gravel ink and used the new coordinating die to cut it out. To ground my floral images, I wrapped a strip of vellum around the embossed panel, adhering the edges to the back of the embossed panel to hide the adhesive. I arranged my flowers and sentiment die cuts on the vellum, popping them up with some foam adhesive. Finally, I added a few sparkling blue gems from the Rainbow Gem Stickers pack!
