Hi friends! I have a Fun With Felt boho-themed project to share with you today that were inspired by my friend Caly Person. When I initially saw the Fancy Feathers die, I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it, and so put it aside for when inspiration struck, but when I saw THIS project of Caly’s I knew that a boho-inspired felt project was in my future! When I had my first babies, I endlessly researched nursery themes, and the boho theme was allll the rage, with pink, aqua, cream, and gold permeating every aspect of the nurseries. Alas, I had boy/girl twins, so I had to choose a theme that was a bit more gender neutral, but this little gift set that I’ve created today fulfilled that long-dormant creative wish. Let’s get started with the details!

To start, I selected several different materials in shades of pink, cream, aqua, and champagne to use with the dies: pink, aqua, and cream felt, along with some metallic champagne felt from my stash, some aqua pom pom trim, and pink ribbon; I also selected cardstock in coordinating colors, adding in some Simon Says Stamp Matte Champagne Cardstock and Simon Says Stamp Luxe Glitter Classic for added shine and sparkle!
To begin my felt project, I die cut the Eucalyptus Leaves from aqua felt, then the Aurora Blooms and blooms from the Hanging Leaf Ring from pink, cream, and peach felt. I also die cut the berries and Fancy Feathers from some shining champagne felt that I had in my stash, adding a feeling of luxury to the project! I created a general arrangement before adhering my turquoise pom pom trim to the canvas zippered bag with hot glue. I tucked the flowers, foliage, and feathers amongst the pom pom trim, using a combination of hot glue and felt glue to securely adhere the felt die cuts to the front of the pouch.
To add a few “extra” details to the pretty pouch, I added some Bubblegum Pawsitively Dazzling Gems to the centers of the smaller flowers, as well as a pretty pink bow. How cute would this be for a pencil case? It’s such fun working with different mediums and creating something that is a bit more “tangible” than a card that might (more like probably) get thrown away!
To create the coordinating card, I die cut the flowers from the Hanging Leaf Ring die set using different shades of pink, cream, and peach cardstock, as well as some foliage from bright turquoise cardstock. I added some boho feathers cut from champagne Simon Says Stamp Luxe Glitter Classic and the wreath ring from Simon Says Stamp Matte Champagne Cardstock, mounting all of the pieces on an A2 panel of speckled cream cardstock using liquid and foam adhesive.
For the greeting, I used a lovely pinky-peach foiled sentiment created using my laminator and the Reverse Everyday EZ Strips. These foiled toner sentiment sets combined with the EZ Strips Rectangles Die make it so easy to have a ton of sentiments right at my fingertips. I adhered the greeting strips with a double layer of foam adhesive, then added some Gold Pawsitively Dazzling Gems to the center of the flowers and a twine bow to the top of the champagne foil wreath. All of the different textures and elements of shine makes this card super fun and unique, I think!
