Hi friends! I have a super festive and incredibly bright holiday project to share with you today featuring some fun products from the latest And Everything Nice release from Simon Says Stamp! I’ve mentioned before that my mom and I disagree about pink for Christmas; I am definitely team hot pink, while she is staunchly in the “red and green for Christmas” camp. The gorgeous new Beautiful Poinsettia Frame embossing folder is just that: beautiful poinsettias and tons of them! I couldn’t resist adding lots of gorgeous color to these dimensional blooms, so I pulled out some of my favorite OLO Marker pinks and went crazy coloring! Let’s get started with the details.

I began my project by running a panel of Hammermill cardstock through my die cutting machine using the Beautiful Poinsettia Frame, then enhancing the detail of these beautiful blooms with my most vibrant pink OLO Markers. I also used a gold paint pen to add some beautiful shimmer to the flower centers. Such a bold and festive background!
After I had finished coloring the circlet of poinsettias, I die cut the new Bouncy Merry Christmas, cutting the detail layer from coordinating magenta foil cardstock (though glitter cardstock would work beautifully!) and cutting the shadow layer from white pearlescent cardstock. I layered the two with liquid adhesive, then popped the sentiment up in the center of the card front with foam adhesive squares.
To add a bit of extra interest to the card front as well as some additional texture, I die cut the new Layering Pine Sprigs from white glitter cardstock and tucked them behind the sentiment die cut. I also used one of the deep pink OLO Markers to add color to a length of white ribbon, tying it in a pretty bow and tucking it beneath the sentiment die cut, as well, creating a pretty swag. Finally, I added a few Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for one last touch of sparkle!
