Hi friends! I am hopping along with my friends at Simon Says Stamp today to celebrate the marvelous new And Everything Nice release (click HERE to see the entire release!). You should have arrived here from Suzy Plantamura, and your next stop is Amy Rysavy. You can also start at the beginning at the Simon Says Stamp Blog. We are delving deep into Christmas mode with this release, featuring so many sweetly illustrated holiday images and bold graphic pieces that will make your holiday crafting extra enjoyable and simple! I have a super sweet and colorful Christmas card to share with you today, so let’s get started with the details!
*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I stamped the adorable snowman from Wrapped in Scarves using no-line coloring ink onto some white Hammermill cardstock. I used OLO Markers to color the image, keeping the snowman nice and bright white by blending out pale gray ink with the colorless blender marker so that the crisp white of the cardstock shone through! I used a fine black pen to add the details on the face, coal buttons, and the string of holiday lights, then die cut the image with it’s coordinating die.

I absolutely adore the colorful rainbow glow of incandescent Christmas lights… LED lights just don’t have the same magic, in my opinion! I tried to capture that same magical glow by blending Pawsitively Saturated Inks in shades of Apple, Butter, Fairway, and Marine on the card front, then using the coordinating colors to stamp the individual snowflake stamps in the Wrapped in Scarves stamp set, sometimes stamping off to make sure that the stamped snowflakes were not too overpowering and to create a more subtle tone-on-tone effect. I also used some iridescent glitter watercolors to add some magical splatters on the blended card front!

After I had completed the background, I trimmed down a strip of iridescent glitter cardstock and a thinner strip of pearlescent white cardstock, layering them together and popping them up on the blended background to help ground my snowman image. I added the snowman with a double layer of thin foam adhesive, offsetting it slightly, then added a smattering of die cut stamped snowflakes, stamped using the same ink colors for the blending. I stamped a sentiment from Wrapped In Scarves, stamped with black pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder to make it extra crisp and bold, then die cut it with its coordinating die. Finally, I added some Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for added snowy sparkle!
Well, that’s all for my project today! Now for some fun giveaway information!
