Hi friends! I am back with another Christmas card featuring new goodies from Simon Says Stamp’s DieCember release, this time with a super simple, but still very elegant and classy, holiday card! I think the effect of 3D embossing folders on metallic coated cardstock is absolute magic, and I thought I’d take advantage of that with the stunning new Dazzle Snowflake embossing folder and die combo! I created this easily mass-produced project that is perfect for last minute holiday cards. Let’s get started with the details!

To begin, I die cut the included die from the new Dazzle Snowflake embossing folder and die set using Simon Says Stamp Metallic Rose cardstock. This foil cardstock has the most exquisite shine and it picks up those intricate details on the embossing folders to utter perfection. When working with cut and emboss products, I like to die cut the image first, then run it through my die cutting machine in order to preserve those beautifully impressed details. Embossing first then die cutting would flatten the embossed impression. I love that the new Dazzle Snowflake die is so very intricate, as well; it truly deserves to be a focal point as I’ve used it today!
Behind the snowflake die cut, I used a blending brush to blend Shell Pawsitively Saturated Ink in the center of a pale blush A2 card front, then splattered some coordinating metallic rose gold watercolors over the card front to add extra texture and create a “snowy background” aesthetic.
For the greeting, I heat embossed one of the simple sentiments from Tree Plate Greetings on a thick strip of the same blush cardstock using rose gold embossing powder, then used my sharp scissors to notch the ends. I popped up the snowflake and the sentiment strip with foam adhesive, then finished the project off with some gorgeous Peachy Pawsitively Dazzling Gems on the snowflake. I love adding those sparkling details to a simple holiday card! It makes it so much more festive to my eyes!
Well, that’s all for my project today! This would be a great way to crank out lots of holiday cards at the last minute if you’re, ahem, a bit behind. (Not that I would know anything about that as I’m rushing around trying to get everything done! Ha!) It would look beautiful in lots of different color palettes.
