Hi friends! I have a crisp white valentine to share with you today featuring lots of textures to help break up the white space! I used several new goodies from the Heart to Heart Release from Simon Says Stamp (click HERE to check out the entire release!). As soon as I saw the Words of Love stamp and die combo, I knew that that gorgeous scripty sentiment needed to be center stage on my card. It’s substantial size and gorgeous font deserve to have the spotlight! I paired it with some pretty and unique hearts from the new Lots of Hearts and a textured embossing folder to create this crisp white card full of hearts and love. Let’s get started on the details of my card!
To begin, I stamped the large heart text image from Words of Love onto some white cardstock using Ballerina Pawsitively Saturated Ink and my MISTI, then stamped again directly over the top using sticky embossing ink. I then sprinkled on some Hero Arts Iridescent Blue embossing powder and melted it with my heat gun; the transparent iridescent embossing powder creates a luminous shimmer over the pink lettering! I die cut the large heart with it’s coordinating die. I stamped the large “love you” sentiment from Words of Love using Guava ink and repeated the process with the embossing ink and iridescent powder, die cutting it with it’s detail die.
To create a cascade of hearts on my card front, I stamped a bunch of different sizes and styles of hearts from the new Lots of Hearts stamp and die set, stamping the hearts with Pawsitively Saturated Inks in shades of Ballerina and Guava as well as a few tiny hearts using Concord and 9th Fig ink. I die cut the individual hearts with their coordinating dies and set them aside.
Before I began assembling all of my variously-sized heart die cuts, I ran a panel of white A2 cardstock through my die cutting machine using the older Falling Hearts Embossing Folder. I adhered the large stamped and embossed heart to the embossed background using thick foam adhesive strips, then arranged the smaller hearts and sentiment on the card front falling in a cascade from top left to bottom right. As a final touch of sparkle and texture, I added some Bubblegum Pawsitively Dazzling Gems!
