Hi friends! I have another round of inspiration to share with you today using goodies from the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month for March 2026 (click HERE to see all of the details!). These card kits are always filled with such an exquisite array of products, and this month not only are there marvelous products in the kit itself, but there are some fabulous add-ons that you can use to create an endless supply of gorgeous cards. Here’s a sneak peek of the different goodies included with the card kit:

This kit contains so many fun individual components to create beautifully colorful projects that are sure to bring a smile to the recipient! For my first post (check it out HERE) I chose a feminine pink and green color palette using only a few of the rainbow of inks included with the kit. For another project, I selected a serene purple, blue, and green palette using only three of the inks included with the kit. (Check it out HERE) For my final project using the March 2026 Card Kit of the Month, I selected sunny yellow and green palette, again employing the stamping off and ink layering techniques to create an even wider variety of colors using just two of the ink colors included with the kit. Let’s get started with the details on my project!

As with my previous projects, I employed some fun multi-step ink layering to achieve lots of differentiation in the stamped images with merely two shades of ink. I selected Zest and Field from the Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cube set that was included with the kit to create a sunny and cheerful birthday card! For the main bloom, I loaded up the chrysanthemum stamp with Zest ink, then stamped off once on scratch paper and stamped the remaining ink on my white cardstock, creating a pale yellow bloom. To intensify this pale buttery yellow, I repeated the process, (the MISTI is invaluable for these kinds of techniques!) then decided to add some color gradation by inking up just the edges of the flower with full strength Zest ink, tapping the included blending brush on the stamp to soften the inked edges, and stamping the chrysanthemum a third time.

To create the foliage, I again employed the multi-layer stamping off method in order to achieve multiple saturations of green. I also layered second generation Zest and Field inks to create the leafy sprigs, mixing the two colors to create a unique lemony green. I also added some soft green to the base of a watercolor flower bud. It’s amazing how much interest you can create with just two shades of ink if you think outside the box a bit! After I had finished stamping all of the images, I die cut them with their coordinating dies, which are an add-on that is totally worth the money.

For the card base, I used a blending brush to blend Zest ink on the edge of a sunny yellow panel of cardstock, blending on one side and tapering off towards the opposite end. I adhered one of the lacy paper doilies included with the kit on the blended panel, then trimmed two strips of white cardstock and layered them over the top of the doily with thin foam adhesive squares. I arranged the stamped floral die cuts around the edge of the doily, then nestled a greeting from the Basic Brushstroke add-on set amongst the flowers. I tucked a twine bow next to the sentiment, then popped on a few Sprout Pawsitively Dazzling Gems for added sparkle! I just love how cheerful and feminine this card is!
Well, that’s all for my project today! How amazing is this new March 2026 Card Kit of the Month?!
