Hi friends! I am delighted to be hopping along with my friends at Altenew for their June 2026 Release Blog Hop! Altenew’s floral dies are truly superior; they think of everything to make the assembly process as user-friendly as possible! My project today features the stunning new Craft-A-Flower: Forget Me Not die set (click HERE to see the die set!), which is such a stunning addition to their spectacular Craft-A-Flower lineup. I created this soft and crisp project using only some dies (and one stamp set!), white cardstock, blending brushes, and three shades of ink. Let’s get started with the details!
To begin, I die cut all of the elements from the new Craft-A-Flower: Forget Me Not die set from plain white cardstock. Adding color to plain standalone die cuts is one of my favorite ways to make a card that is truly unique to my style, whether it is through ink blending, alcohol markers, or watercolors. I used Altenew’s small blending brushes to add Caribbean Sky, Eucalyptus, and Forest Fern Fresh Dye Inks to the delicate blue flowers and foliage. To make the blending a bit simpler and give myself an extra hand, I used my Stencil System to hold the individual white die cuts while I was blending. It’s like having an extra hand!
The unique keyhole system that Altenew has designed makes assembly incredibly simple; simply match up the shapes for each individual bloom to sandwich the layers together… it makes assembling these intricate, perhaps initially intimidating, die cuts so user-friendly!
After I had finished assembling the floral die cuts, I die cut an embossed label shape from the older Labels & Tags 2 die set, again from plain white cardstock. I adhered the label to my plain white card front using thick foam adhesive squares, then arranged my floral die cuts around the label, leaving myself the perfect opening for my greeting!
For the sentiment, I stamped One-Go: Words and Banners using Forest Fern ink and die cut the stamped greetings using the handy dandy die, cutting several sentiments at once! I also die cut an older (unfortunately discontinued) friend die cut twice, layering the two together to add a bit of extra stability and height. I layered these two die cut greetings on the label die cut, adhering them with thin foam adhesive strips. When working with tone-on-tone, it’s a good idea to have lots of different heights and layers of dimension and texture to keep things visually interesting. Once I had completed layering the elements, the final touch was to add a few sparkling gems! I love how delicate and feminine this card is, and the touch of soft blue blending with the crisp white really makes it so light and airy.

What a beautiful card! The “friend” in just white is perfect for this card. One can always use another die cut word, it would still be a great design element. The soft palette of colors is gorgeous. I especially like the leaves. Much prettier than my real Forget Me Nots!
