Hi friends! I’m Emily, wife to my redhead, mom of four, and jack-of-many-crafts! I live in the Midwest amongst the cornfields with my family, our pit bull and Bernedoodle, and two cats. What used to be a hobby to keep me sane during naptime has become a full time job, and I am so grateful to work doing something that I love! I started paper crafting after my husband and I got married over 15 years ago, though I’ve been crafting in some form for most of my life: jewelry, sand art, Cricut, scrapbooking, watercolor, alcohol markers, illustration, and most recently, embroidery! I enjoy so many mediums; I see it as lots of ways to add color to my life!
I have had the honor of working with lots of different companies within the industry and have grown to call many of the company owners my friends. I also began illustrating stamps about 6 years ago, and seeing my designs come to life as stamps has been one of the most exciting parts of my creative journey.
Some trivia about me:
I have two sets of twins: tweens and 5 year olds!
I love dessert and would love to travel to Europe just to try all of the sweets (among other reasons). One day!!
I have a master’s degree in Vocal Performance, but I mainly sing in the shower these days.
I love period dramas from the BBC and enjoy trying to perfect my British accent.
I am very tall, which is funny considering my last name! I’m the tallest one in my husband’s family, too!
I minored in English and find grammar, spelling, and punctuation to be of the utmost importance in expressing oneself properly.
