Hi there! Altenew is releasing another addition to their Craft Your Life Project Kit line: welcome to the family, Garden Rose! You should have arrived here from Seeka, and your next stop is Joy Baldwin. You can also start back at the beginning at the Altenew Card Blog (where I have a couple of extra projects to show off this new kit!). This new kit features a large stamp set, coordinating dies, 3D embossing folder, and stencils/masks, which include a fun stencil with some diagonal stripes and some large sentiments in a lovely font. Here’s a sneak peek at this month’s kit:

I love that you have the option for outline stamping to do some coloring, or layered stamping, or even combining the layered stamps with the stencils and masks! These kits are absolutely fabulous and sell out quickly, so if you want to be guaranteed a kit of your own each month (and at a discount!), be sure to subscribe! I couldn’t resist coloring these stunning blooms for today’s project, so let’s get started with the details!
I have a watercolored project showing off the incredible detail of the 3D embossing folder of the new Garden Rose kit. Let’s get started with the details!

I began by running the 3D embossing folder from the Garden Rose kit with a panel of heavy duty watercolor paper through my die cut machine. The heavy duty paper holds up beautifully with the super detailed folder, and looks gorgeous in just plain white, too! I used my Daniel Smith watercolors in beautiful shades of pink, deep magenta, hunter green, and intense, vivid blue to add lots of vibrant color to the card front. The raised embossing makes it super easy to get lots of detail with your watercoloring. You have to treat it like no-line coloring; keep your wet sections separate from your dry sections to maintain those crisp edges.

Next, I heat embossed a greeting from the Garden Rose kit on some coordinating hunter green cardstock using white embossing powder. I trimmed it down and matted it on some beautiful cobalt blue glitter cardstock, then popped it up on the watercolored 3D card base.

The final step was to add a few iridescent gems to the card for an extra bit of sparkle!
Well, that’s all for my project today! (I have another pair of pink, blue, and white projects up on the Altenew blog, if you want to check them out, too!) Now, to celebrate this release, Altenew is sponsoring some fantastic prizes:
$300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $ 25 gift certificate to 8 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 10/18/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 10 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 10/20/2021.
Your next stop on the hop is Joy Baldwin. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy hopping!
