Hi there! Today, the Ellen Hutson Design Ambassadors are having a special release blog hop to fully introduce the July 2019 Essentials By Ellen release! We have some fantastic new products to debut to you today, and I have three projects to share, so let’s get started with the details!

We have a super fun new set featuring some adorable and trendy little chickens: A Good Egg stamps and dies. As a twin mom, I am always on the lookout to create something twin-centric, and this set with the sweet little chickies was perfect for a new mom of twins! I stamped the feathered momma and her little brood using Intense Black ink on Neenah Solar White card stock, then colored them with Copic markers. I die cut a stitched rectangle from white card stock, then white embossed a “congratulations” on a strip of black card stock and adhered all of the pieces on the stitched rectangle using foam adhesive. Finally, I attached the white stitched rectangle to a panel of A2 black card stock for a nice contrasting mat!

For my second project, I wanted to use the new Cooking Lady stamp set and pair her with a cute gingham tablecloth. I began by stamping the Cooking Lady (check out that darling apron!) and some pancakes with Intense Black ink on Neenah Solar White card stock, then colored them with Copic markers in a cute, retro color scheme of coral and aqua and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I stamped the background with a large gingham background stamp using some pretty coral ink on some more white card stock, then trimmed a touch around the edges and mounted it on a piece of A2 Adriatic card stock. I die cut a vellum hexagon (to soften the busy background) then mounted the greeting and Cooking Lady on the vellum and adhered the whole piece to the gingham panel using foam adhesive.

For my final project for today, I am sharing my favorite set from this month’s release: Subbing In! I’m not normally very good at scene building, but the little undersea critters and that fabulous submarine stole my heart! I stamped the submarine and several different elements using Intense Black ink on Neenah Solar White card stock, then colored them with Copic markers. I added a bit of Crystal Lacquer to the windows of my submarine to make them extra shiny. (Anybody else hear “We All Live In A Yellow Submarine” in their head right now?)

My husband and I recently traveled to Riviera Maya and had the opportunity to go snorkeling in a protected coral reef, so I drew lots of color inspiration from our adventure! I noticed that the coral reef seemed to randomly pop up in little mountains, with fields of ocean grass in between, so I trimmed a corner of gray card stock with my scissors and blended a little gray ink over the top to add some dimension! After I’d finished coloring and blending all of my elements, I used the new Waves die to die cut an aqua panel of ocean, blended a little aqua ink around the edges, then adhered all of my coral reef pieces, fishies, and purple squid on the ocean panel using foam adhesive.

I mounted my little underwater scene on a panel of Lapis Hero Hues card stock and added a sentiment heat embossed on a small rectangle of Adriatic card stock using foam tape.
Well, that’s all for my projects today! I have a few more to share with you, but I’ll save those for another day. Be sure to head over to the Ellen Hutson July Release Page to see all of the adorable new goodies!! Now, I have some fun giveaway information to share with you!
