This month, I’m just focusing on one of the super cute add-on stamps sets: Sea You Soon and the coordinating Frame Cuts.

My goal with this card was to create a nautical, Cape Cod-style aesthetic using corals, white, and navy. I began by heat embossing the oldie-but-goodie Fishing Net Bold Prints background stamp in white on some Nautical Hero Hues cardstock.

Next, I heat embossed several of the shells from Sea You Soon onto watercolor paper using white embossing powder, then used Karin markers to watercolor the images in a variety of corals and yellows. I die cut them with the coordinating Frame Cuts.

For the greeting, I heat embossed a sentiment from Sea You Soon onto a strip of white cardstock, then used blending brushes to blend Pale Tomato, Fresh Peach, and Butterbar inks in a diagonal ombre to coordinate with the colors of the watercolored seashells. I adhered the die cuts and sentiment to the fishing net card front using both liquid and foam adhesive, finally adding some Sunset and Pinks Enamel Dots from Hero Arts to help fill in any gaps in the shell arrangement.
Well, that’s all for my projects today! Now, to celebrate this latest My Monthly Hero release, We will give away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop.
