Good morning! I’m here today with the start of a new challenge for Where Creativity Meets C9: Ink Only! (Also… have you SEEN the new release from Concord and 9th?!!?! Talk about knocking a girl’s socks off…. I’m just going to send them my wallet…. my jewelry… maybe a kid…. I want ALL of it.) The challenge this month is to use a minimum of embellishments, but more specifically…. NO coloring of any kind. This one hurt a little, not gonna lie haha.
I decided to pull out one of the prettiest stamps from Concord and 9th: Flourish. It’s ALL stamping, some with multiple layers, so I really got to play with color combos. I used some beautiful Altenew inks… I love how crisp they are, and the subtle differences in the layers of shading are absolutely perfect.
I began with a plain white card base and stamped the main leaf image in a pretty aqua green, then added the flowers in shades of pink from the Cherry Blossom ink collection. The purple flowers were stamped using the Shades of Purple collection.
Finally, I stamped the gorgeous, bold greeting from Enjoy It All using Jet Black ink. I double stamped with my MISTI to ensure that it really popped out from the more subtly-colored background. Definitely one of the simpler cards I’ve done recently, but I love the impact that just a few stamps and some pretty shades of ink can make!
Now, it’s your turn! Simply use your Concord and 9th stamps with some beautiful ink to create a project, then add it to our linkup. You have until 9/29 to link up your project! Have fun, and good luck!
