Good morning! Today, Altenew is releasing Build A Flower: Coneflower, the latest in their Build-A-Flower series, and we are celebrating with a blog hop! You should have arrived here from Sandhya Iyer and your next stop is Nichol Spohr. (Or you can start at the beginning at the Altenew Blog.) This month’s Build A Flower set is a fun layered set with bit of an artsy, stippled look:

I love that Altenew gives you the option to use the layered stamps or take some time to do some coloring. You can always subscribe to the Build A Flower series to receive the sets each month at a discounted rate! I have a stamped project today, so let’s get started with the details!

I began by stamping the different layers using the Tea Party ink set for the blooms and the Warm Gray ink set for the foliage. (I love using non-traditional colors for the foliage!) I skipped the outline layer, which I think makes the images look more painterly! I die cut the images with the coordinating dies, included with the Build A Flower: Coneflower set.

I stamped a greeting from the Build A Flower: Coneflower stamp set on a strip of white cardstock, then backed it with a slightly larger dark gray mat.

I love using white cover plate die cuts on a white card base to add subtle texture, especially when using die cuts with a white edge. I die cut a Garden Trellis from some bright white cardstock, then adhered it to the A2 card base. I adhered the die cuts and sentiment to the card base using foam adhesive. Finally, I added a few metallic charcoal gems for some sparkle!
As always, Altenew is hosting some great giveaways to celebrate this release:
$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 04/07/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 04/09/2021.
Well, that’s all for my project today! Your next stop is Nichol Spohr. Thanks for stopping by today, and happy hopping!
