Hi there! I’m hopping along with Altenew to celebrate their new Sparkle and Shine release! You should have arrived here from Nathalie DeSousa, and your next stop is Michelle Short. You can also start back at the beginning of the hop at the There is such a massive variety of products this month that I have four cards to share with you, including a couple of holiday cards! Let’s get started with the details.

My first project features the brand new All About Wishes dies. This fabulous die set features such a wide variety of sentiments for almost every occasion, including holidays! I used the Gilded Glitter Cardstock to die cut a glittery silver holiday greeting, along with a vellum halo layer, and adhered them using liquid adhesive.

Next, I silver heat embossed the beautiful Festive Floral Frame on some emerald green cardstock. There’s something so beautiful about silver with emerald green, especially at Christmas… such a pretty combination, and a bit different from the normal green and gold. Though now that I look at it, it reminds me of the Slytherin House colors, haha!! I trimmed the embossed image using my sharp scissors.

I splattered a coordinating emerald card base using some shimmering white watercolor paint from the Metallic Watercolor Pan set, then adhered the embossed floral frame using Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I added the sparkling greeting with even more foam tape, creating a double layer in a few spots. Minimal color palette, but so much dimension and texture keeps the card from looking boring! The last touch was to add some shining metallic silver gems for one last element of silver.

My next project was created to showcase the fantastic new Christmas Season die set. The lovely, detailed font in this sentiment set makes it easy to create a quick card. I began by die cutting the “merry Christmas” from some Rhodolite Glitter cardstock from the Pink Brilliance gradient glitter cardstock set, as well as some glittering berries and greenery using the Branches and Berries die set.

I ran a panel of white cardstock through my die cut machine using the Basic Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered the glittering greeting to a strip of heavyweight vellum to make it a bit easier to adhere to the heavily embossed background, then popped it up with some foam adhesive. I arranged the branches and berries in a little swag and adhered them to the card front using liquid adhesive.

My next card features the totally stunning new In the Woodland stamps. Altenew has some of the most beautiful stamps for coloring, and this set might be my new favorite! The blooms are so large and just plain fun to watercolor. I began by heat embossing the gorgeous bouquet on some watercolor paper using silver sparkle embossing powder. I always seem to do pink or purple watercolored flowers, so this time I thought I’d color some blue forget-me-nots! Daniel Smith’s Indanthrone Blue watercolor is one of my all-time favorite shades of blue, and it lent itself beautifully to these blooms. I also departed from my usual light halo of color to add a deep green background, using lots of water and lots of pigment to make it super vibrant and saturated.

Next, I stamped the greeting from the new Note For You stamp and die set, using silver embossing powder on navy blue cardstock. I die cut the “sorry” using the coordinating dies for the stamp set. I love the clean, polished look that these stamped sentiment die cuts give the finished product!

I trimmed the watercolored panel down and matted it on a full size A2 panel of navy blue cardstock, adhering the sentiment die cuts using foam adhesive for extra dimension.

My final project today features some older products and two of the beautiful new shades of ink that were released! I blended the new Strawberry and Orange Sorbet inks using the Henna Square stencil on a white card base using ink blending brushes.

I added a die cut Mega Thanks, cut from some shining coppery foil that complemented the warm ink blended background beautifully. I popped it up using more Instant Dimension Foam Tape, finally adding a few copper gems for even more shine. The new inks come in 12 different shades that are a wonderful addition to the current ink lineup; I hope you’ll check them out! You can see the pastel Frozen Delights group here or the Jewel Tones set here.
