Hi there! Welcome to your next stop on the Studio Katia 3rd Birthday Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Laura Volpes blog and your next stop is Erica A-b! Studio Katia is celebrating their 3rd birthday with some fantastic new products and giveaways, so be sure to read all the way to the end to find out all of the details! I have two projects using some of the new goodies from this birthday release, so let’s get started with all of the details!
My first project uses the new Kobi Makes A Wish stamps and dies, as well as some fun new balloon stencils and the new Balloon Shaker dies. I am always in need of masculine birthday cards, so I kept this project fairly gender neutral with a nice aqua, gray, and white color scheme.

I began by cutting a panel of A2 aqua card stock, then used a light and dark shade of aqua ink to blend a festive floating balloon background using the new Birthday Balloons Duo stencils. I also die cut a pair of vellum balloons using the new Shaker Balloon Die.

Next, I stamped and die cut the new Kobi Makes A Wish stamp set using Copic-friendly ink onto some white card stock, then colored him in using Copic markers in shades of light gray and aqua. I also stamped a greeting from Kobi Makes A Wish onto some strips of white card stock, which I layered over the overlapping vellum balloons, giving me a place to hide the adhesive. I added foam adhesive behind the sentiment strips, as well as behind Kobi and his birthday gifts to add lots of dimension. A few confetti from the new Pastel Rainbow Confetti embellishment pack finished it off and added some sparkle!

For my second project, I couldn’t resist using the absolutely stunning new Floral Garden stamp set. (You knew I wouldn’t be able to avoid that one, didn’t you?) Studio Katia has some of my most favorite flower stamps, and this newest one is close to the top of the list!! I stamped it in Copic-friendly black ink on some white card stock, then colored it with a variety of Copic markers, creating a veritable garden of gorgeous blooms on my card stock.

After I’d added all of the color to the blooms on my Floral Garden panel, I decided to add a dramatic black background using a black Copic marker. Using this black marker allowed me to cover up any slight “coloring outside the lines” mishaps, while also creating a deep background from which my Copic coloring could pop!

For the greeting, I added a dimensional die cut “love” cut from black card stock, as well as a greeting from Happy white embossed on black strips of card stock and popped up with dimensional foam tape. The final touch was a few Rose Gold sequins for a bit of sparkle!
