Altenew October 2026 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway!

October 10, 2026

I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

Hi friends! I am so excited to be hopping along with my friends at Altenew today to share projects created using their new October 2026 Release! (Click HERE to check it out!) I don’t think anybody can get enough of Altenew’s exquisite floral designs, and the ease with which you can create using these incredible stamps, dies, and stencils makes them even more worthy of a place in your craft room. I just love that they make each step so intuitive! I have two projects to share with you today using the same shades of ink but with very different aesthetics, so let’s get started with the details!

For both of my projects today, I used the following Fresh Dye Inks:

Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Ink Quartet

Sunray, Chamomile, Snapdragon, Terracotta

Jade Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Quartet:

Green Opal, Mossy Meadow

Bubblegum Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Quartet:

Baby Pink, Fuchsia, Magenta, Jazzberry

By using the same ink shades, I was able to create a coordinating card set, but with wildly different overall aesthetics based on how deeply saturated the colors were!

For my first card, I used the gorgeous new Build-A-Garden Joy In Bloom with it’s extraordinary and enormous floral bouquet. You could easily use this large-scale bouquet for home decor or a scrapbook page due to it’s substantial size! I stamped the bouquet on an A2 panel of white cardstock with embossing ink, centering the large peony blooms prominently on the card front, then embossed it with shimmering gold embossing powder. I lightly blended pinks and yellows around the edges of the embossed image before stenciling so that the finished blended image would have some unique color variation and would match the blended background in my head! I used the Altenew Sticky Mat to hold my embossed panel in place before I began stenciling with the Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Ink Quartet, Jade Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Quartet, and Bubblegum Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Quartet. It is really quite magical to watch all of the layers come to life with each new color!

After I had finished blending the image, I used the coordinating add-on die to cut the image out. I used residual ink left on the blending brushes to blend yellow and pink ink around the edges of my blank white card front, which I then splattered with some shimmering gold watercolor. I placed the bouquet on the card front with some thin foam adhesive squares, then added the die cut greeting from the new Framed Botanicals die set, the pieces of which I cut from both gold pearl and vellum cardstock. Finally, I added a gold twine bow and some shimmering gems for added sparkle!

My second card features the leafy frame from the new Framed Botanicals die set with a vibrant blended background. I used several of the same shades of pink and yellow ink from the previous card to create this unique ombré background, which I then splattered with gold watercolor. I die cut the leafy frame using more gold pearl cardstock, then used tiny pieces of thin foam adhesive to attach it to the blended and splattered card front.

In my stash, I found some deep pink cardstock that coordinated beautifully with the pink blending on the card, so I used it to die cut the delicate blooms from Framed Botanicals and added them to my frame with more foam adhesive. For the greeting, I die cut the older-but-still-gorgeous Fancy Thanks die using Rhodolite glitter cardstock from the Pink Brilliance glitter cardstock gradient set. I added it to the bottom 1/3 of the cad front with more foam adhesive, then finished teh card off with some sparkling gems in the center of each pink bloom!

Altenew also has released this gorgeous and super useful Blush 3-Ring Card Album. These albums are beautiful quality, and sized perfectly to fit an A2 card! The album comes in both blush and cream, and features exquisite gold accents that are simply luxurious.

The inserts perfectly fit an A2 card and envelope, so that you can store your handmade beauties neatly and safely. And let’s face it, sometimes we make a card that is so pretty that we just want to keep it for ourselves, right? I am certainly guilty of this!! This album is such a lovely way to display our favorite works, perhaps showing growth or style changes over the years.

I love that you can even place an A2 envelope in each slot, as well. It would be a great way to display your cards at a craft show, as well!

Well, that’s all for my projects today! Now for some fun giveaway information:

Altenew 11th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway (over $3,600 in Total Prizes)

April 16, 2025

Hi friends! After a bit of technical difficulty, I am excited to join my friends from Altenew for their 11th Anniversary Blog Hop Celebration! Month after month, Altenew provides us with exquisite products and equally exquisite inspiration to jumpstart your creativity. I was honored to be part of the Altenew Design Team for several years until life got a bit too crazy and I had to step back. I love joining my sweet friends from Altenew occasionally, though, helping to introduce new products and showcasing some of the fun and innovative new designs that Altenew consistently brings to us! For the Altenew 11th Anniversary Hop, Altenew has brought together our favorite companies for a multi-day blog hop that is chock full of inspiration and prizes to celebrate their 11 year milestone! You can find the full hop list over on the Altenew Blog. I have two projects to share with you today using some absolutely stunning goodies, so let’s get started with the details!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

My projects for today feature the stunning images from an older Build-A-Garden set, called Breezy Petals. I was super inspired by the color palette in the Botanical Brilliance Fresh Dye Ink family, so I used that as my color palette, pulling different colors together to create a cohesive card pair that coordinate but don’t “match.”

My first project mainly uses the stencils from the Breezy Petals product suite, creating an illusion of no-line coloring. I used the gorgeous colors from the Botanical Brilliance Fresh Dye Ink family on some Blush Crafty Necessities Cardstock. This cardstock color is light enough that the ink blending still stands out over the top, but is relatively subtle and gives an almost tone-on-tone vibe. I also used a blending brush to blend the exquisite Blush Rose ink around the edges of the stenciled panel, my favorite from the Blushberry Bliss Fresh Dye Ink family.

Once I had created my background, I die cut a sentiment from some coordinating red cardstock and glitter cardstock (I’m sorry-I can’t remember from which die set this sentiment die comes!), layering the two pieces together with liquid adhesive. To help ground the sentiment and soften the pattern behind it, I trimmed a thick strip of vellum and used my sharp scissors to flag the end. I added a strip of coordinating pearlescent blush cardstock on the end and adhered my sentiment die cut with some foam adhesive to the vellum strip before flipping it over and adding some liquid adhesive behind the solid die cut. This hides the adhesive behind the semi-transparent vellum to keep things neat and tidy! Finally, I added a coordinating blush ribbon bow, tucked beneath the sentiment die cut, for a bit of added texture. Such a pretty and feminine card, I think!

My second card utilizes a similar layout, this time using the coordinating stamp and die set for the Breezy Petals product suite. I stamped the large floral bouquet onto some heavyweight vellum using embossing ink, then used Rose Gold embossing powder to emboss the gorgeously detailed image. I just love the simplicity of the embossing on vellum, but the stamped image is so intricate that it stands on its’ own beautifully! I die cut the embossed image with its’ coordinating sentiment die. On the card base, I blended some more Blush Rose ink on a panel of Blush cardstock, creating a warm, peachy glow behind the embossed vellum panel.

For the greeting, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Breezy Petals stamp set onto some deep red cardstock using the same Rose Gold embossing powder and used the coordinating die and my trimmer to cut them out. I adhered the sentiment pieces to the vellum with foam adhesive, then flipped the die cuts over and added some liquid adhesive behind the solid die cuts before placing them on the center of the blended background. Finally, I added a ruby red bow tucked beneath the sentiment for a bit of extra textural interest!

Well, that’s all for my project today. Now for some fun giveaway information:

Altenew January 2025 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway!

January 9, 2025

Hi friends! I am hopping along with my friends at Altenew to help introduce some of their gorgeous new products from the January 2025 release. You should have arrived here from Agnieszka, and your next stop is Svitlana. You can also start back at the beginning at the Altenew Blog. My mom was in a bad car accident over the holidays and was finally released to my house from the hospital, so I didn’t get to play with as much of the release as I would have liked, but the new Stencil Art: Romantic Roses + coordinating die was too gorgeous to pass up. Let’s get started on the details for my project!

I began my project by blending the Carnival Magic Fresh Dye Ink and Aqua Island Fresh Dye Ink quartets to stencil all of the beautiful images from the new Stencil Art: Romantic Roses. I then die cut the finished images with their coordinating die, which is available separately from the subscription, but can be purchased as a bundle with the layering stencils! The layering stencils are super intuitive, featuring very handy etched outlines so that you can easily line up each individual layer.

I wanted to create a beautiful glowing, somewhat mixed media background using the script stencil included with the Stencil Art: Romantic Roses. I began by blending multiple layers of color from the Aqua Island Fresh Dye Ink on the edges of a panel of white A2 cardstock, then used the script stencil to add some interesting pattern and texture to the blended background. I love the subtle tone-on-tone effect that the script stencil adds to the background!

I arranged the floral stenciled die cuts in a corner swag on the blended card base, adhering them with multiple layers of foam adhesive. For the greeting, I used one of the sentiments from the One Go: Solid Sentiment Strips Press Plate, which I created using Rhodolite ink from the Carnival Magic ink quartet, then die cut with the Coordinating Die. Finally, I pulled in some of the peachy undertones from the stenciled flowers with a few of the new Creamrose Pearl Dots, adding additional shimmer and texture ot the card front.

Well, that’s all for my project today. Now for some fun giveaway information!

Altenew December 2024 Blog Hop + Giveaway!

December 11, 2024

Hi friends! I am hopping along with Altenew today to celebrate their December 2024 release! You should have arrived here from Therese, and your next stop is Cathy. You can also start back at the beginning at the Altenew Blog! It is feeling like winter outside today, which is a perfect backdrop for this serene and icy blue card using some of the gorgeous new Fresh Dye Inks and the new Build-A-Garden: Dreamy Dahlias product suite. Let’s get started on the details for my project!

*I have gathered links to all of the products used at the bottom of the post for your convenience, using affiliate links. Thank you for shopping with my links! I truly appreciate your support for my work!*

To begin, I stamped the bold and beautiful floral image from the new Build-A-Garden: Dreamy Dahlias product suite. This large-scale image creates a breathtakingly detailed and generously-sized floral arrangement, which you can stamp perfectly and easily using the new Stampwheel 2.0! I stamped the image using the lightest shade of blue from the new Tranquility Fresh Dye Ink quartet, then stamped directly over the top again with some sticky embossing ink and covered the entire image with gorgeous Iridescent Blue embossing powder. The combination of the colored ink base layer with the translucent, iridescent embossing powder creates an absolutely magical finished effect. Subtle, but oh so lovely.

After I had heat embossed the entire image, I used the coordinating stencils from the Build-A-Garden: Dreamy Dahlias product suite and the beautiful blues in the Tranquility Fresh Dye Ink quartet to add stenciled details to this lovely monochromatic floral image. Chinoiserie is having a moment right now in home decor, and so I was channeling that blue and white imagery with the tranquil blues on this card! After I had finished stenciling all of the layers, holding my cardstock and stencils down using the sticky mat from the Stampwheel 2.0 to make stenciling super simple and quick, I used the coordinating Add-On Die to cut the intricate floral arrangement out.

To create a simple background, I decided to add a touch of texture to my white card front using the new Terrazzo Press Plate on some plain white cardstock. Now, I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to my “specialty” cardstock, so when working to create a background whose function is mainly to add a touch of textural interest behind my focal point, I like to use a hack that I learned from the incredibly talented Carissa Wiley. Rather than use a panel of the expensive letterpress cardstock, you can place a panel of “scrap” cardstock (I use inexpensive watercolor paper that I don’t like for watercoloring but works beautifully for this technique!) behind your panel of white or colored cardstock, tape them together using light-tack tape, then use them in your Better Press Letter Press system like you would for a normal press plate. This technique impresses the pattern into your plain cardstock, allowing you to stretch the uses for your Press Plate system even further!

I blended the lightest shade from the Tranquility Fresh Dye Ink quartet around the edges of the textured panel, then mounted my floral die cut with foam adhesive, trimming off any excess that might be hanging over the edges. I also created a sentiment with one of the greetings included with the Build-A-Garden: Dreamy Dahlias product suite, stamping it first with the darkest color from the ink suite and then again with embossing ink, covering it with the same Iridescent Blue embossing powder to create that magical shimmer and shine. I popped up the greeting with some foam adhesive, then added a white bow and some sparkling embellishments for added texture and interest!

Well, that’s all for my project today. Now for some fun giveaway information!
