Hi there! The beginning of August means another fantastic My Monthly Hero release from Hero Arts! You should have arrived here from Ilina Crouse, and your next stop is Debi Adams. This month, we’re celebrating enjoying staying at home and self-care, totally appropriate for the current state of the world! Maybe you’ve taken up a new craft or read some new books or practiced your coloring or maybe even just enjoyed a good bubble bath. The stamp sets being released today celebrate all of the things we’ve all been doing to try to stay sane in this crazy world!

This month’s kit includes: 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set, 23 Coordinating Frame Cuts, Greetings Fancy Die, 5 White Postcards, and Summer Twilight Palette Reactive Ink Pad. It’s valued at $76, but can be yours for $34.99. These kits frequently sell out ASAP, so don’t hesitate, because it might not be available when you finally make up your mind… once they’re gone, they’re gone! You can also subscribe and have a kit guaranteed for you each month.
For my project today, I combined some of the images from the main kit with an older cover plate die to create a relaxing scene. Let’s get started with the details!

I began by stamping the hammock, potted palm, books, and table images from the main kit using Intens-ified Black ink on some white cardstock, then used Copic markers to color the images. I used the coordinating frame cuts (included in the kit) to cut the colored images out.

Next, I used Neon Blue and Aquatic inks with some blending brushes to create a bright blue sky on an A2 card base. I die cut the Nature Border Fancy Die from some more white cardstock, then adhered it to the blended background using liquid adhesive. I used white cardstock for the Nature Border die to keep things light and airy, while also allowing the brightly colored images and black sentiment to pop!

I adhered the hammock, plant, and other die cuts to the card base using foam adhesive, then adhered the “greetings from” die cut (included in the main kit) with liquid adhesive and stamped the greeting using Intens-ified Black ink.
Well, that’s all for my project!
