Hi there! Today is the Pinkfresh Studio August Release Blog Hop! Pinkfresh Studio has some beautiful floral stamp and die designs being released for this month, and we are celebrating with a fantastic blog hop full of lots of inspiration! You should have arrived here from Dawn McVey’s blog, and your next stop is Heather Hoffman’s blog. I have two projects to share with you today, so let’s get started with the details!

I began by die cutting the Modern Blooms die from some white card stock. I then used two different shades of pink and two different shades of green ink with some small blending brushes to create some color and definition on the individual flowers. I die cut the same Modern Blooms die twice more from white card stock and adhered them all together to create one large dimensional die cut.

After I had adhered my blended dimensional die cut to a navy blue panel of A2 cardstock, I added a sentiment with the Beautiful word die. I die cut it first from white card stock, then adhered it to some vellum and fussy cut around the edge to create a bit of a haze around the edge. This vellum haze helps to differentiate the detail of the die cut from the super detailed dimensional die cut background. I also added a stamped greeting from Flower Garden stamped on a strip of white cardstock using navy blue ink. The final touch was to add a few sparkling gems for a bit of shine!

For my second project, I used my favorite stamp set from this release: Flower Garden with the absolutely gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors. The amount of detail in this stamp set is just divine; it’s so beautiful in so many mediums, but the stunning, super vibrant colors of the Liquid Watercolors were a perfect pair with this stamp set. I began by heat embossing the stamp set in white on some watercolor paper. I then used just four shades of watercolors to add color to my panel: Bubble Gum, Candy Apple, Key Lime, and Sapphire. I diluted the colors down to begin with, adding very light washes on the images themselves, and going back later to add more concentrated shading and depth.

After I’d finished my watercoloring, I white embossed a greeting from No One Compares To You on some more navy blue cardstock that I’d die cut into a circle. The sentiment was not quite large enough to cover the entirety of the circle, as well as covering up a bit more of the watercolored panel than I liked, so I trimmed the sides down a bit to create a sort of rounded rectangle. I adhered it using some foam adhesive, then added a few more gems for a touch of sparkle!
