Good morning!! I am extremely excited to say that I am one of the Reverse Confetti ‘Fetti Friends for the months of March and April. What luck for me, because they have a new release coming on March 8th, and it is chock full of fabulous stamps and dies!
Today, we are peeking two absolutely precious sets: Honey Bear and Seal-iously. (Seal-iously… isn’t that name just the cutest?!) Today, I’ve created a project using the sweet Honey Bear stamp and die set, along with a sneak of a new tag die and a new patterned paper pad coming out this week called Fun Times. (Appropriate name!!) Let’s get started with the details!
(isn’t that bear just the cutest?!)
For my project today, I wanted to work with that sweet little bear and the apple tree… I’m not normally one for punny sentiments, but my kiddos started preschool this year and are starting to really “get” puns. I thought this card would be perfect for them to give to their teacher!! I started by die cutting and stamping the bear, the basket, and the tree from white card stock. I stamped the leaves using green ink (I will list all of the available supplies below), and the line images using black Copic friendly ink.
I colored all of the line images using Copic markers and added some Glossy Accents to the apples to add a bit of dimension and shine… like an apple the teacher would really want to eat haha! I set those aside to dry and die cut the new Dashed Line Tag from some subtly patterned green pattern paper from the new Fun Times patterned paper collection. I added a double bow from some jute twine that I had in my stash.
I trimmed down a panel of Kraft card stock and mounted it to a white A2 card base, then added my green tag using dimensional foam adhesive. After my Glossy Accents had dried, I used my craft knife to trim the little bear’s paws so that the basket could be nestled up underneath, so the bear is holding the basket. I added the bear to the card front, then stamped the sweet sentiment on a strip of white card stock and added it to the trunk of the tree.
Well, that’s all for me today! I will be back tomorrow with more Reverse Confetti release goodies! In the meantime, be sure to leave comments on the Reverse Confetti blog, as well as the different design team members’ blogs (and the ‘Fetti Friends!) to be eligible to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti shop! More comments=more entries in the contest! Enjoy all of the inspiration, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow!
